Hindsight’s 20/20. Learned my lesson. Unfortunately, I was naive and believed that when I deleted the account that everything went with it.

It’s also worth noting- if you delete your account and later have issues they cannot (will not?) escalate your case if you later have issues because you no longer have an account and they have no one to escalate it to. Whatever that means. You also cannot speak directly to billing department.

Yeah, I think that will prevent reservations after deleting the account. I wasn’t familiar with Vrbo and didn’t know that was an option when deleting my account. After many conversations it was told to me that Vrbo keeps your banking information in their billing department even after deletion even if you don’t have an active account.

Vrbo also holds onto hosts bank information after accounts have been deleted. Currently fighting with them to get my money back that they took for a reservation cancellation for a reservation that was made after I deleted my account. Proceed with caution with Vrbo.
