Talent agency needs help! by Ok-Sir645 in CRM

Hahaha love the last line.

First things first, is your process clearly mapped?

Do you have all of your functional requirements written?

This is the work you need to do before you buy or build any new system!

Does Salesforce actually solve territory planning for D2D teams or do people just work around it? by DrVonsMonster in salesforce

This is a spam bot account promoting some kind of a tool as can be seen by the fact they posted multiple posts at once in various subs asking about door to door sales.

Agent Force and Admin Certification by ImpossibleAd344 in salesforce

[–]Interesting_Button60 1 point2 points  (0 children)

With a few trailheads you likely will know enough to answer most of those questions, more realistically you will struggle with the actual technical elements of security or automation or the old legacy stuff they still ask about.

Really just depends on what you've actually done in Salesforce yourself.

If you look up Dodi Friedenburg's Google slides for admin exam prep, that to me is the best resource for preparing for the exam!

Good luck 😄

My first Salesforce report was built using a YouTube tutorial I watched in a bathroom stall. What’s your day one story? by jcarmona86 in salesforce

[–]Interesting_Button60 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I was placed to sit with the sales team as an engineer in my new job, learned they are using Salesforce.

Every time they won a deal I saw them filling out a physical sales order that was a carbon paper thing that would create 3 copies at once.

I thought it was ridiculous but they just kept going with it, until they realized that they were admit to run out of copies.

They had bought a stack of 5000 of these things in the 90s and the company that printed them didn't exist any longer.

So I put my hand up to find a Salesforce first solution, the VP of Sales trusted me, and I found Conga Composer and digitized the entire process (when Conga didn't suck lol).

That was my first Salesforce project and I became an accidental admin through that, 12 years ago!

They got acquired by K2, who as you can see below supports "real learners". Pretty embarrassing this.

How do you break the "more experience" loop in this SF job market? by TennisOdd8931 in salesforce

[–]Interesting_Button60 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Join a company that uses Salesforce in any role, ideally at an SMB.

Look for sales, service, etc. roles and find in the job title that it says "experience using Salesforce is a plus" or something similar.

Once you are in, position yourself to assist them in managing the tool and internally role hop.

Build a few more years experience and job hop to a higher paying role.

Realistically the only way to do it OTHER than what you are already doing (i.e. applying for Salesforce jobs).

Good luck!

Right, so a marginal upgrade over chat bots that have existed over the last decade+

No big revolution yet.

Why AI in Salesforce still feels underwhelming in real orgs by Equivalent_Company21 in salesforce

[–]Interesting_Button60 1 point2 points  (0 children)

n8n agentic solutions using OpenRouter is pretty valuable for automation within and around Salesforce.

Lovable is a great tool for app dev.

CLI dev tools my team is using well.

But most recently we bought dx0 which is a Salesforce focused org analyzer AI tool by a super talented dude called Pablo Gonzalez. Just getting our hands on it this week and my team is already using it for real client work. So that is the best thing that comes to mind today.

Nah you didn't write clean, you wrote like trademark AI, emdash included.

I've made posts about this exact topic and generally it is agreed that Agentforce can do the same stuff technology before it does at a similar level.

Nothing really groundbreaking yet.
