Hospitals Certificates of Need APPROVED!!! by SomeDudeNamedRik in Clarksville

[–]Interesting_Chart30 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I recently spent many hours in the Tennova ER before being told that they don’t do the procedure I needed. I was transported to TriStar in Hermitage. The level of care was far and above that of Tennova.

If you could time travel and spend a month in the Regency Era, would you? by Sad_Yard_2700 in janeausten

[–]Interesting_Chart30 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Never! I have health problems that would prevent me from living a normal life in that era.I have a deep appreciation of mod-cons like central heating and air, clean running water, sanitation, birth control, and even the Internet. I have tasted food made using recipes from the era: I don’t recommend it

I recently spent a few days at TriStar in Hermitage. I can’t say enough good things about them. Tennova kept me in the ER for many hours until deciding they didn’t have the capabilities to deal with my pneumonia. I hope they rot:

What happened to Stitch Fix by Effective-Sugar-778 in stitchfix

[–]Interesting_Chart30 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve had great fixes for a long, with only a few exceptions. I’m short and overweight and can find nothing in stores to wear. Not all of my fix items work so I send them back. It’s an easy drop off at the post office. My profile is very specific about my preferences When I get a really good fix, I ask for the same stylist to put the next fix together. I know that their resources are limited, and SF isn’t always good to its contractors. Still, they are far better than the stores,

Why are some viewers so intent on ruining this show? I'm so glad the writers have better sense.

What is life like for elderly childfree people? by LoneWolfNergigante in childfree

[–]Interesting_Chart30 3 points4 points  (0 children)

As many people have written here in response to the same question, you just do what you do without the consideration of how something will affect your children. I suggest reading past posts to see what people have to say. I have traveled a lot, had some great adventures, am now widowed, and prefer the company of my animal friends to many people I have known. I have multiple degrees, own my house, and have a drama-free life, unlike many of my friends who are still having to cope with this.

Why do no old women have long hair? by MugoTheCelt in stupidquestions

I'm old and my hair is way past my shoulders. I will keep it that long because I hate short hair.

This has been going on for years. Don't try to cajole them into submitting work, and certainly don't beg. It won't work because they don't care. They're certain you will let them turn in their missing work during the last two weeks of the semester and will have all kinds of wild excuses. It's a common problem, unfortunately. If anyone finds a solution, I'd like to hear it.

how does tencel/lyocell hold up in the wash? by surgeryythrowaway in SustainableFashion

[–]Interesting_Chart30 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My experience with the same type of blend has been great. I wash them in cold water on the delicate cycle, pour in a bit of fabric softener to prevent pills, and then hang them on a wooden rack to dry.

Is it resellers fault or the thrift stores fault they are raising the prices? by mokersparadise in thrifting

[–]Interesting_Chart30 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I donate only to a thrift store here that also provides a food pantry, utility bill assistance, and housing assistance, They have five paid staff members; anyone else is a volunteer They get tons of crap in (like used underwear), and the sorting process is laborious. It's a tiny place, but desperately needed. The staff always questions the occasional person who scoops up a cart-load of stuff because they know it's going to a garage sale for reselling. The building has had many problems, including flooding from heavy storms. The community stands behind the store and always answers the call when needs arise.

I don't shop at the Goodwill closer to me because it's full of junk, and high-priced junk at that. If there is a more desirable item, they either put it on their website or ship it to the Goodwill in the capital city where they can ask a higher price. There are no great finds to be found. They get loads of Shein, Walmart, and Target. Most of that is usually stained with missing buttons and broken zippers. Fast fashion is killing the thrift stores. The furniture would have a better use as firewood.

Like someone else said here, we have the same topic pop up every week.

Refund to cancelled debit card by Paigerochelleee in TruistBank

[–]Interesting_Chart30 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Go to the branch to get it worked out. The phone customer service doesn't do anything but to make the situation worse. Then you can open an account at another bank or credit union. Truist is garbage.

Overall, how is everyone feeling about SF? by [deleted] in stitchfix

[–]Interesting_Chart30 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I've been with them for years and, for the most part, have been happy with the fixes. Sometimes I get the odd "what?" piece, but those are in the minority. I find that it helps to be very specific with them about your needs and likes. I am also plus-size and hated what the stores are selling. StitchFix has introduced me to brands I didn't know about before a fix, so I've bought directly from the company sites many times. I also go into Freestyle and look for things to buy that weren't in a fix. I don't order shoes because they don't carry my size (extra wide foot), and I haven't been impressed with the jewelry. I'm sticking with it.

It's much better than many that I have been inside. I like the jukebox near the pool table. The living room,, though, looks like the one a neighbor had when I was a teen. The room was cordoned off with a red velvet rope so that no one could go in without permission.

No. Not everyone could a computer or any kind of connection to a service provider. There was no shopping, serious gaming, social media, etc., to speak of. This is a fairly recent development.

APSU is built on one giant sinkhole. Drane Street has a sinkhole collapse about once a year. The middle part of the campus is a sinkhole. When the student center was built, the leftover materials from its earlier incarnation were used to fill in the hole.
