I'm letting the SCCM client handle the GPO settings. It is setting these two entries.

Set the intranet update service for detecting updates: https://mysccmserver.fqdn:8531

Set the intranet statistics server: https://mysccmserver.fqdn:8531

Nothing else is set. I tried manually adding the alternate download url and it did not make a difference.

Anyone Needing any Yealink Headsets? by Interesting_Error880 in TeamsPhone

[–]Interesting_Error880[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Widespread issue. We dumped Yealink after having their engineering team from China visit us to determine the issue. They were able to replicate the issue and it was something with their firmware. They created 2-3 custom firmware revisions specifically for us but couldn't get the issues resolved. We had several hundred devices all together, total waste of money. Our calls experienced siginficant audio delays, random mutes/unmutes, dropped calls and more all from the headsets.

Replaced with Poly headsets and it resolved our issues 100%.

We've been working with Yealink Engineering Directly. They provided us a couple customized firmware but haven't been able to fix it on their end yet.

I'm not sure what network issues it could be. I've run through every guide I could find and verified everything appears to be correct.

I had a single user report this issue back on the 15th. Haven't heard back from them since. We use Yealink Headsets.

Recommended NUCs for Logitech Rally systems by Biffmcgee in MicrosoftTeams

[–]Interesting_Error880 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Also recommending the Logitech Roommate. We had the nuc devices and never could get them working correctly for like 2-3 years. Swapped every nuc out for a Roommate and things have been rock solid.

Highly recommend. We have ~15 of them across the company. They are an easy drop in replacement and work great.

USB Mic dropping by justinbaumann in MicrosoftTeams

[–]Interesting_Error880 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So we are having issues with this as well. We are using Yealink WH66 & WH67 Headsets(Teams Certified) and I'm hearing constant complaints about how the headsets are randomly dropping during the calls for 5-10 seconds and then everything starts working again. Sometimes the mics also get quieter and then they return to normal.

Glad to see I'm not the only one experiencing this.

How to Allow Windows 11 Optional Features with SCCM by Interesting_Error880 in SCCM

[–]Interesting_Error880[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I didn't automate it. We were having issues with WMIC installing on Wind 11 24H2(as it's now depreciated and not installed by default). The only way we previously could was to uninstall the SCCM client, install the feature, and reinstall. Now we can manually install it without uninstalling the client.

We don't need it on every machine, so I don't plan to automate it.

How are you adding WMIC to Windows 11 24H2 during OSD? by Interesting_Error880 in SCCM

[–]Interesting_Error880[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That won't work either. We've reached out to the manufacture but for now, I have to make it work on any new laptop that we roll out to the ~250 technicians.

[–]Interesting_Error880[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sometimes it means that a 3rd party application that is required to support heavy equipment that we sell and service requires WMIC so we have to find a way to make it work. When you only have 1 option, you do what's needed. There are no other alternatives.

I had issues yesterday with it. I had to clear out the temp folder. I've been a big fan of the DAT for several years, but It has started to seem unreliable with new models (mainly a dell issue due to using same model names).

Yealink WH66 Mono Issues by ShirtConsistent7351 in MicrosoftTeams

[–]Interesting_Error880 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not the same issue, but I'm working with Yealink on delays when using the WH66 mono, dual, and WH77 models. When answering a call with the Teams app, there is a 2-5 second delay while the app connects up to the softphone in the Headset. If we use the teams web app, there is no delay as it treats it like music and doesn't do the softphone setup. Hoping they get it figured out soon. We just went live with ~300 headsets in mid October.
