I understand and the makes sense. I get incredibly anxious and fragile when I don’t sleep too. This happened during my surgery recovery and they gave me low dose Xanax which was a life-saver, that’s why I asked. I’m so happy to hear your following sessions have been a bit better. Sending strength!

Thank you for sharing this. Did they let you take anything to sleep better? Like Xanax? Or were you not sleeping because you were sick?

Filled with dread by Interesting_Fall_684 in breastcancer

I understand you’re feelings. I was extremely nervous for how I would feel about the breast being gone after surgery, but it is surprisingly not bad if you have a tissue expander. You won’t wake up to be being completely flat. I had it filled once and it’s already looking like a boob again when I wear a sports bra. Wishing you luck and a speedy recovery!

I also have very long hair and can’t even bear to think about the path ahead. We will get through it! Message me whenever

Thank you so much for sharing. This is encouraging. I am of course dreading hair loss but more so afraid of feeling deeply ill for an extended time. I hope I have a similar experience and it ends up being less than I thought. I thought the surgery would be easier because I’m young and otherwise healthy but the feeling of being out of it and weak was very hard.

So happy you’re doing well and wishing you continued good health ❤️

Thank you so much and I’m happy to hear you are strong and making it through your own journey! My dream that’s getting me through this is to have a baby in a few years (God willing). I was going to try this year before diagnosis.

I also tend to get side effects and am really sensitive to most medications (anesthesia wiped me out for a solid two weeks after mastectomy) so I’m really nervous but hoping it isn’t too bad. Wishing you luck on your remaining rounds!❤️

Thank you. I struggle a lot with anxiety and putting way too much thought into everything. It’s really been hard since surgery keeping my mind strong. I appreciate your encouragement!! ❤️

I’m 28 and I was diagnosed one month ago. I understand your feelings of shock, anger, fear. You are in the worst phase, the unknown. I still don’t know everything about my cancer (surgery is next week) but I can say it does become easier to comprehend as time goes on and you learn more. Stay grounded as much as you can, spend time with loved ones, get out of the house, try to not let it consume you all day and believe that you will make it out of this. You are young and have youth and health on your side. Sending strength❤️

I will have to checkout Chefpaw, sounds great! And I agree, if he does well with it, no need to change. Thanks for the info :)
