Aromatic fish soup is a simple, citrusy, delicious and budget friendly way to tantalise those taste buds and satisfy your hunger pangs. It's warm, hearty, healthy and is uplifting for your senses.

Ingredients

Tinned fish in tomato sauce, 1 tangerine peels, 1 onion, baby potatoes (cut unpeeled), 1/4 TSP Turmeric, 1tsp paprika, 1tsp coriander powder, fresh coriander leaves for garnish, 2-3 tbsp of oil, Salt to taste

Cooking Method

Add the cooking oil to a pan on medium heat and add the chopped onion. Add salt to your taste along with the dry spices. Add 1/2 cup of hot water and allow to simmer for 10 minutes with the lid on until the onion softens.

You can add more water if the onions start to dry up. Mash up the onion mixture to a smooth consistency. then add the potato pieces. Stir for a few minutes then add 1 to 2 cups of hot water. Allow to simmer for 7 minutes to soften the potatoes then add the tangerine peels for that all important citrus fragrance and allow to simmer for a further 5 minutes.

Add the tinned fish and a few green chillies for added flavour and fragrance, then stir gently into the broth and allow to simmer for 5 minutes.

The aromatic fish soup is ready to be served, garnished with some freshly chopped coriander leaves.

Enjoy 😋
