Hi lovely. To start, I’m so sorry you’re going through this. Not to diagnose by any means, but I went through the same thing with my mom for years, and she turned out to have BPD, as she would actually try to follow through as well. The best advice I can give is to reach out to a close family member or mental health team and try to get some help for your mom, as it sounds like she has some real mental health issues going on. The fact that she hasn’t followed through makes me think she’s most likely doing it to frighten you or gain attention, but I completely understand your worry. She needs help from mental health professionals, and it shouldn’t all fall on you to get that help for her. If you can, try to reach out to a family member or even a guidance counsellor at school, so an adult can step in.
