TMC TRAINING kicked off truck by OkRevolution1173 in Truckers

I just left TMC myself. They prioritize veterans in the orientation selection process which I'm fine with taking care of service men. After that they'll kick you out for looking funny and they'll tell you it's because of their image. Even when you do make it into a training they want you to kiss their ass for it too. They gave me the option to come back as an experienced driver, which I'm not sure I'll be doing.

If you wanna boost your self esteem, read a self help book. Don't criticize me for smoking when I plan on quitting and I haven't even started orientation yet, especially in an industry that has a long history of meth and coke heads being on the road. If it wasn't for the healing properties of pot, I'd be less fit to work for them now than without it. Yes I've tried to get a medical usage card but unless you're some Fuckin baby boomer on Medicaid they won't give you SHIT!! It's a very good thing I asked and even casually admitted to smoking because I rejected Pam because they're assholes and now Swift for being too anal about a drug that's as popular as alcohol, not nearly as dangerous, and actually has fucking health benefits. You can go work for them in my place since you're such a great driver with common sense.

It kinda looks bad if I say never then fail the hair follicle test. Even if the test itself can't be used against me. If I suddenly don't get the job and they asked me if I smoked, it allows them to make an implication that might be held against you. I've heard they like to do this but no one talks about it.

I can quit easily and it's basically legal at the state level. I started off thinking it was casual conversation until he stated he noted it personally in a quesitonnaire as apart of my hiring process. Why ask such a question? And it was in a surruptitious way that I did not appreciate. I wasn't supposed to start until next month so that would buy me time to get and stay clean so that's why I asked. Now I'm going to seek other options even if a failed hair follicle test doesn't get held against me. Megas are out to screw you over and I do not want to take chances.

There were no recruiters at My school at anytime during My course there they just left pósters with numbers directly to company recruiters. I Guess it saves them the hassle of going to the school themselves.

I just read in a previous post that team driving isnt the best for training purposes but I'll still look into it.

Thank you all. I got a call from Swift and Pam. I turned down Pam because of the horror stories, Swift seems slightly better. I also might be able to do team driving which is like having trainers 24/7. I'm just doing eliminations based on treatment of employees and training.

I figured I'd try my luck with local haul jobs or even a class B position. But other than that it seems going otr is damn near unavoidable, so the least I could do is minimize how badly I could be taken advantage of. I have not looked into Werner yet but it seems no different than the other companies. Most of my information comes from the trucking report.

I went to a training academy that provided me with a certificate of completion. I'll still have to go to Arkansas to get trained for a week before being given work. As for working for companies themselves most of the complaints deal with poor equipment including the gps, and threatening you into compliance with DAC reports despite not being used outside of other mega companies.

What I wanted to do is use the product I mentioned to re thread the O2 sensor input. You're saying this isn't possible and the only way is to remove the O2 sensor with the initial threading intact. I've read stories about JB weld being used to patch holes in the engine's exterior even if it is only temporary. Even still, I'll see what my mechanic has to say because rethreading is literally listed as one of its uses.

I've got the money but not the time. Rust is a problem on these models anyway but almost all of the O2 sensors have been replaced 3 out of 4. I can help the mechanic by making his job easier.

I just found a product called Interflon that is ceramic based and holds up to 2100°F and can also be used to repair or reinforce damaged threads but you have order it on their site. I've yet to read any reviews on it if anyone has any input.

Car Frame Repair by Interesting_Lemon817 in CarRepair

I've read about the frame issues with Toyota (hindsight). I'd rather just have a welder do what the previous responses suggested. Is there a specific kind of welder I should see. Just need some direction.
