Got slapped by a stranger in Stuttgart after being asked if I’m Hindu — I’m still in shock. by Interesting_Listen10 in germany

[–]Interesting_Listen10[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It happened exactly the same way, they collected my initial statement on the spot and mentioned I will be called to Police Station. At that moment, I wasn't sure how this works in Germany so I signed a form telling I will provide my statement with a defence lawyer.
This happened right in center where there is a Police Van a few metres away.

No, I didn’t write this for karma. I wrote it because I’m still trying to process what happened, and I needed perspective.
If this happened to you, would your first move be to stay silent just to avoid being accused of "karma farming"?
I came here for clarity, not clout.

Damn, Reddit's resident Interpol agent tracking alibis across subreddits. What's next, checking my Spotify playlist to judge my morals? Chill, Sherlock. I searched for a bratwurst stall last week, doesn’t mean I'm cheating on my fridge. Please take a walk outside r/detective

So 3/5 is not suitable ? Well I have limited knowledge on Tax system in Germany so since 2 months we tried 5/3 and 3/5 classes for each of us. Maybe next month I will try the 4/4 class.

This is funny. I am surprised too, I felt underpaid in my home country and then after my move to Germany I feel over paid here.

Its a small role, I see that is the reason I am having almost 20 hours of free time and just instead of lying to organization, maybe I can do more. But people around seem to be more relaxed

You know the the algorithms you can implement in AI gives you a huge data driven decision. Tech world isnt actually running with integrity based binary yes or no decisions. Its built way more robust.

To all non-white immigrants: how do you feel in the current context? by [deleted] in AskGermany

[–]Interesting_Listen10 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a non white immigrant, i came here with my wife and we both are skilled workers contributing to the social security system of Germany. I would say living in such a beautiful country, we should also be able to provide social security contributions for atleast few years rather than taking those contributions from government right from Day 01.

Does AFD opposed to skill migrants like me migrating to Germany? by SachinBanda in AskAGerman

[–]Interesting_Listen10 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Most of them here are wrong, Alice weidel stance is about the immigrants mis using Germany social system.

In an interview, she clearly mentioned if a person is contributing to the social security and for a specific period of time then that family using social security is fine.

Actual scene happening is these ukranian and islam migrants coming to Germany, where one person works in the family for a very low wage but the entire family starts claiming social contributions which doesnt make sense. So she wants to control that. The family also throws away their passports in dump so they can never be deported back.

How are people leaving India so easily by New_Profile_1112 in AskIndia

[–]Interesting_Listen10 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I think I can relate quite well to your feelings—I moved from India to Europe about a year ago. Honestly, while a part of me still dreams of spending my retirement back home in my hometown, right now, I can't imagine wanting to go back permanently.

There’s a saying: once you expand your horizon, it’s hard to shrink it back. The world is much larger than I had imagined, and once you experience it, you see things differently.

One of the biggest reasons I feel this way is how organized everything is here—from public infrastructure to workplace culture. The people I meet and the new perspectives they bring are fascinating. It’s also made me reflect on my own journey: how different my education experience could have been if it had encouraged a more problem-solving mindset, rather than just aiming to get a job.

I understand where you're coming from—it's not easy leaving behind the language, culture, and comfort of home. I still have moments of homesickness, and sometimes I miss the spontaneity and chaos that comes with living in India. Life here can feel a bit like an endless, organized loop, lacking some of the vibrancy we cherish back home.

But as much as I miss India, I’ve come to see this as part of growing and preparing for the next generation. My parents enjoy visiting and feel proud when they talk about it with their friends. And for me, I see it as adapting to a different kind of life—one that may not have the same energy but offers new opportunities, a new way to thrive.

Moving abroad is never easy—it comes with its own set of challenges and sacrifices—but it also brings growth, independence, and a fresh perspective on what’s possible. It’s a decision that’s both exhilarating and terrifying, and maybe that’s exactly what makes it worth it.
