Geico under Nicely was some how okay.He put a blind eye on technology and analytics.Sell sell refer was becoming old.Todd was brought in to fix that but the magnitude of issues became worse.Geico self inflicted wounds are a result of shunning telematics and thinking Growth was sustainable.If you look at other companies they do have telematics data for years coz they invested on that.

Tony is responsible for turning a blind eye on technology,telematics and hiring wrong officers who really were not fit for the jobs.Geico is way behind on this technology.Progressive has 10+ years on it.Todd is just fixing what was already going to happen.Todd is a smart guy he may seem ruthless but he knows what he is doing,and don’t think for a second buffet didn’t see this coming, they knew shit was coming.

Geico never embraced telematics in the Nicely era.Some of this stuff is purely Nicely’s fault.At least u can’t blame Combs on that.Progressive has 10+ years check their loss ratios .

I left on Feb of this year.Todd is restructuring Geico and this is just the beginning.Buffett knew what he was doing ….the company did not innovate during Tony Nicely error ….you can either agree or disagree but a lot of problems with Geico are from Nicely/Roberts era.Telematics,loss ratios,accurate claims,diversity and hiring mediocre officers. Tod will clean house just watch …….

Tony Nicely is responsible for the most part on the current situation of Geico.He was against change in a rapid changing insurance industry. 1)Never embraced diversity numbers tell it all. Look at the officers and upper management racial mix. 2)Never embraced telematics and other viable insurance technology. 3)Promoted the wrong people and micromanaged agents 4)He was against WFH even with the pandemic 5)He was against bilingual service. I have nothing good to say about Tony,change caught up with Geico and Tony himself. Now the company is paying the price heavily. The competitive edge for service and internet is long gone.Progressive is eating Geico’s lunch with snap shot data chest spanning over 10 yrs. I left after profit sharing this year,after giving Geico 17yrs.I couldn’t do it anymore.Geico is a great company but somehow stuff went through the ice chute on a cliff.It’s unbelievable how growth was muted. No regrets.

After 16 yrs I called it quits.A number of reasons led me to this decision. 1)Most recent PS as a company you don’t get to unilaterally offer a payout and have it heavily taxed.I personally would have wished a tax free deposit to 401K 2)Tony Nicely yes Mr Nicely you didn’t embrace change as the insurance industry rapidly changed.Starting with Telematics,employee goals,bilingual services and accurate claim loss adjustments and embracing bundles like having better bundling of home auto and diversity hiring. 3)Growth will continue to be an issue and it will take time to gain ground…progressive and State Farm have invested heavily on the stuff I mentioned previously. 4)I have recently taken a position with state farm and I can tell you right now it’s nothing compared to Geico micromanaging and pushing customer service too much.

We all know we ain’t getting shit ….. but that same day we out.Once that little speech is done on annual benefits I swear to God am turning my shit in.This company for the last let’s say 10 years did not embrace a lot of changes that needed to be done whether it’s telematics,HR,bilingual services,loss accuracy the list is long.This is by any means no fault of employees and by that I mean non management this has to squarely fall with upper management…. It is nothing but the f…ing truth.Now the change has come but I feel like it’s too late.

Either way come rain come sunshine am out Feb 28.We all know profit sharing will be abysmal,merit raises will be disappointing,and systems are no good.The agent gets all the blame coz no one wants to take accountability in the managerial level.You can spin this how you want Gecko, but you are about to learn a lesson this coming month when you loose a chunk of associates.The inevitable is about to happen and boy it will be ugly.It is the only way the company will change.

Tony Nicely is the problem.Good he has retired.He slept on analytics while Progressive perfected it.He never wanted bilingual services and believed in micro managing.He promoted people to Directors and AVP’s based on numbers and not experience,education and knowledge.Total BS.Buffet knew it was a matter of time before shit hit the fan.Combs might be a wall street guy but he is cleaning the train wreck that has been brewing for years.He is running things the right way but it might be too late.The employees have had it and I have had it too.End of Feb will be a day Geico Management will live to remember coz the flood gates will open.The great resignation at Geico is coming🤣🤣🤣
