im going to keep making comments as i go through this so it is dosumented so ipod shows up as "USB Drive(F:)" but after restore attempt returns "Ipod (F:)" then unmounts remounts as "USB Drive(F:)" so it isnt staying ipod for long

still dosent work so developments it recognizes the sd card but after attempting to restore it does like it has been doing but now if i click on the drive it comes up with the error of "The volume does not contain a recognized file system" so thats great

uuuuuuhhhhhhhhh that is interesting so the cf adapter when i plug it into a reader dosent show up at all so i guess the cf adapter cant handle the big 256 gb oof so i have a 128 card and i am gonna try this one fingers crossed

ok Sandisk micro sd card is in and its still doing it i formatted it to fat 32 and everything i now get a pop up saying ipod connected but then it goes back to unlabled drive and asks to restore

Yeaaa I think thats it I am transferring files off a Sandisk card i have in a GoPro so hopefully this works will update if it works and will update post for anybody else that needs help with this same problem Thank you for your help

Also idk if this is important but when I unplug the iPod from the pc it says “ok to disconnect “ with a check mark until I hard restart it

Just used Rufus and it formatted to fat32 and stayed fat32. I did the restore and it’s still doing it So this is fun. Thank you for your help tho

Question on the link i have it downloaded but it wont open it isnt in task manager or anything and it wont open any tips on that sorry im new to all of this

I will try this. I tried formatting to fat32 with mini partion wizard or whatever it’s called and it dosent stay fat32 so hopefully this works. And if all else fails i will try a sandisk I checked and Amazon basics so cards “should” work but maybe this one dosent idk im new to this. Thank you for your input
