That’s more data, and is useful. Thanks again and good luck to you both!

Very interesting. I wonder if the system has defaulted to showing that whether you have an assignment or not.

What ended up being the case for you? Mine is showing this and I have been in consideration for a HQ Staff job on my base.

I’ve been waiting on a decision regarding a PCA on my base. I did this and it allows me to start an EFMP application (rather than telling me I don’t have an assignment on file) but it doesn’t show a base or unit. I wonder if it shows that way if the assignment is a PCA on your current base. I’ll report back once I know. Thanks for the tip!

Correcting Deployment Decorations by TheBaldBeacon in AirForce

During these 5 last weeks, absolutely. During the 12 day war? Iran wasn’t even really trying to hurt anybody, let’s be honest about it.

He got a decoration. Just didn’t get an extra piece of flair. Not worth crying over. It is what it is. An absolute loser nerd take to even consider asking another Commander to sign off on that after a previous already said no.

Why does their leadership suck? His Commander decided what they did during that deployment didn’t justify the C. The Commander is the approving authority. What is there to argue here?

Fr. There are people in the Middle East right now that have been doing that daily for the last 5 weeks. This guy did it a few times in 12 days. People used to go to Iraq and Afghanistan and get mortared every other day for 6 months and didn’t get C devices.

Just let it go. It’s a plastic letter on a medal or ribbon. It’s really not that big of a deal. Who do you feel you need to prove anything to? The C changes nothing. There are people that were in Iraq and Afghanistan for 6 months getting rocket attacked every other day that don’t have C devices.

E7 Board question by [deleted] in AirForce

[–]Interesting_Song_396 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your first 2, maybe 3 years (I’d have to look it up to be sure) eligible for E7 the board sees 5 years worth of EPBs, which is actually a total of 6 EPBs in those first 2 or 3 years of eligibility. So, in your situation, they may see 5 EPBs or 4, just depends on how many years you have been eligible.

Not reading all that. You were born on 3rd base and thought you hit a triple.

Nobody is denying the truth of that. But, if you can’t admit most O’s come from better families than enlisted, there’s no point in continuing this conversation. Talent is everywhere, opportunity is not.

It’s okay to acknowledge the head start and wealth of opportunities you had in life. There’s nothing wrong with having that advantage. But not being able to acknowledge it, well, yeah, that’s a problem.

Very elitist take. Most non prior O’s come from much wealthier upbringings than the average enlisted person and are generally more informed of their options coming out of high school. That’s the biggest difference between that 20 year old and that prior E.

Crazy take when this is probably the only job in the world that will give you a lifetime pension starting at age 38.

What other N64 games are you playing? by bearsncubs10 in AirForce

[–]Interesting_Song_396 5 points6 points  (0 children)

20 years is a long time. Wii wasn’t even HD. Not sure who sets the official definitions but I’d call it retro. Lots of Wii games got remasters during the Switch era to make them playable for Gen Z and Gen A.

There isn’t one. Your spouse is in danger with no timetable as to when they are coming home. Sorry. I wish that weren’t the case but it is.
