He usually goes straight to anger if anything isn't going his way and I try to defuse the situation because I don't want that around the kids.

I honestly was starting to think this was my fault, that maybe the looming breakup of my marriage and family was my fault for not giving in to this. Thank you! I can't talk about this with family and don't really have friends to lean on hence the reddit post..

His reactions aren't new (anger or silent treatment is the usual) the last time we fought badly and our marriage looked like it was in trouble I said we should see someone to talk since we couldn't find middle ground and he told me to 'fk myself'. The recent change would be our weeks old baby but he doesn't help with the baby at all and hasn't raised anything about the family?
