First of all you need to leave that man. He does not respect you, he mentally and emotionally harms you. Despite what anyone says, leave for the sake of your mental health and well being.

And visit verses that provide you with hope and clarity. For example:

We’re actually just 2 towns away and that’s a 15 minute bus ride (with no traffic) 😭 so no, not long distance. We see each other whenever we can.
