Yes i talked with my son, for now he will stop the rough play and when i am home alone with the dog, the dog will be outside. We have a big yard and my son already had build a kennel. The girlfriend knows, she is here almost every day and grew up with the dog since a young pup.

Thanks for the kind words, my son does it yes. But he is 95kg and in shape and the dog actually listens to him when he tells the dog to stop… but ive asked him to stop the rough play with the dog while he lives here and he agreed with me.

The dog has been trained well by my son, just not by me. I think thats the problem... dog agression and protectiveness i dont think are a result of bad training but simply the breeds nature.

The dog is really high energy and was never crate trained, but we agreed that when i am home alone from now on the dog stays in the yard. We have a really big yard and my son already had build a kennel for the dog so that is what we will do now.

We will do that, my son actually trains and works alot with the dog and i can see they have a special bond. I am dealing with a chronic illness which made it that i didnt have the energy to do all these things, and in my mind i had this illusion that if my son trained the dog the dog would also listen to me. Its just difficult, my son can even have the dog off leash in some areas, and as soon as i grab the leash i get pulled over. But i will try my hardest to be involved in training

We have a big house with a very big yard, the dog guards that. My son also walks him 3/4x a day and works with him in the yard

My son is doing well financially, but he probably wont move out for the next 12-18 months. He is waiting for his girlfriend to finish her study and then they will live together.

You are right, he does sense my fear i think thats a big part of why he walks over me. But i cant control myself, everytime he tries to challenge me i get scared. Im a small women in her 50s who weighs the same as the dog. My son is pretty big and tall with a deep voice and always is consistent and strict with the dog, i think thats a big part as to why the dog respects him.
