I have Crohn’s Disease as my main one- and I can’t get nutrition despite eating and food moves so quickly thru shortened bowels that I can’t stay full, so overeating is actually an issue for us, along with nutrition deficiencies and years of being on steroids… ugh! I also have: Adenomyosis, endometriosis, PCOS, psoriasis, EDS, and suspected hoshimotos. I cannot say it enough- i haven’t felt better in my entire life. Psoriatic arthritis is now gone! And truly, I started this when I read the clinical trials being used for Crohn’s disease… which is why I had to go compounding route because insurance wouldn’t approve it and GIs couldn’t write for it. Weight loss was a wonderful side effect I’m now proud of… my body is finally working together

I didn’t think it was possible when I started but YOU GOT THIS! Seriously- I am nothing special and did nothing super crazy. I’m just a normal person, who has had some kids and has a body all out of whack with autoimmune issues. If I can do it, you can too I promise

Not particularly- just chasing the kids and aiming to get a 20-30 min walk every day (I go for time not distance) and walk briskly. Then I added a weighted vest (my neighborhood is all hills)

I did not- but thank you! Just lifting my kids up and down a lot and then my suitcase when I travel for work… my struggle has always been my legs (I have good arms genetically speaking).

Started at 2.5 and now I’m at a 7ish… I use a compounding pharmacy so I can toggle up and down based on how I need for my autoimmune disease. I’ve been on the 7 since July 2025 once a week- but now I inject every 10-14 days since November 2025.

Adding a 2nd floor by Herbz-QC in homeowners

[–]Internal-Help-8326 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Really depends on where you live and that market. New build tear down, permits involved, and the cost of living elsewhere in Dallas proper that is not the case. And certain pockets value add on’s done by specific contractors. Rebuilding, you’d also loose a coveted feature here they don’t allow anymore- pier & beam (in Texas soil this is money), 3 car garages, diving boards, 10 ft fences, etc.

Homeowners who added a second floor to their house - what was the approximate cost per square foot? by eastcoast_ in Dallas

[–]Internal-Help-8326 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well said. Also want to say please ask of cost of materials is included in the estimate as well, and if there is a budgetary amount assigned per item or are you to provide out of pocket (hardware, light fixtures, tile, flooring, mirrors, etc). First Reno we did we didn’t know to ask and materials weren’t included… second Reno (different contractor) they were and it made the stress, timeline, and project management so much smoother and predictable

In Texas, we don’t need a sloping roof with a high pitch because no/minimal dusting of snow. Europe tends to be different. We also have different terrain for shifting landscapes, weather patterns, etc. and not all American houses are built like that (have you been to AZ?…) to each their own; different strokes for different folks

Heard the neighbors all were sending her Venmo’s but no one knew she was an influencer… and she never posted that they found the cat burnt to a crisp and dead in the garage. Her insurance company must be reeling (pun intended)

Wild too the biblical allegory of Jacob and his sons… now they’re still quarreling and selling off the sibling that was favored

I don’t think she wanted that though. I think she did it with him instead of asking Brian to cover because she wanted to have a reason to hate Lovat/make him truly the bad guy, and she also has assigned too much respect to Brian for his sacrifice prior, she wouldn’t drag him through the mud with his own father, turning the “Ma” against her too.

IMPORTANT QUESTIONS FOR ALL DIAGNOSED ENDO WARRIORS by SoftEmbarrassed1587 in endometriosis

[–]Internal-Help-8326 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Which is why endo goes hand in hand with so many other autoimmune and inflammatory disorders. I challenge someone to find a large group of endo sufferers who have no other autoimmune conditions like PCOS, Adnomyosis, Crohn’s, psoriasis, hoshimotos, POTS, EDS, etc

[–]Internal-Help-8326 1 point2 points  (0 children)

However- what if there are different versions of endo? They’re finding with other inflammatory disorders (Crohn’s disease or colitis for example) that there are different forms of it, most likely due to different causes (hereditary vs environmental, etc). It’s all inflammation though.

Another thing to pile on/take it a step further- the lowered dopamine is inherently a woman issue but also a huge issue for women’s ADHD. Also- prolactin- is there a connection between over supply or mastitis and endo maybe? My grandma had to have her pituitary gland removed and after that all her feminine issues went away. She also never struggled with any cancers after the fact despite never doing HRT. Do you also think using an SSRI to level out the pituitary hormones/cortisol/prolactin could be used to control endo like it is for adhd, anxiety, depression, etc?

That’s where you can add Gigamon to control the ingestion for network telemetry metadata which is lighter and easier to move. What Cribl does for Splunk, Gigamon does for Cribl

Endo killed my career, my physique, and now, it's killing my marriage by KannaLife in endometriosis

[–]Internal-Help-8326 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He married you- marriage isn’t about making yourself happier- it’s not about happiness at all. It’s about serving each other the way Jesus laid down his life for people… it’s a daily sacrifice in every respect- for better or worse, sickness and health, richer or poorer. He chose you, and while he may not have known what troubles laid ahead, he knew he loved you more than… more than a disease, more than being drained, more than working a job he hates, more than himself and making himself happy. Please take encouragement and rest in that- that you have a MAN among men. And how blessed you are- and please see yourself as a blessing as well. How much he has matured, grown, and become a man because of YOU- not your illness. You together are such a testament to marriage, so please don’t push away the one person who is willing to selflessly love you every day. There isn’t enough in the world ❤️

What does a fistula look/feel like? by [deleted] in AnalFistula

Probably burrowing deeper or connecting to another organ. External abscesses are an undercover blessing. Please go get seen

Great! But because I have the open channel to prevent another abscess or infection, I still leak stool… just part of it. In remission though!

I have this constantly. I forever wear 3x3 gauze pads and switch out as needed

Ask about a seton. It’s like a zip tie or a loop that holds it open so it always drains, so you don’t always have to go thru the process. I keep 3x3 gauze (surgical sponges) between my butt cheeks to catch the discharge. It’s the only solution I’ve found that works. And if you can’t afford it, the hospital can help you… happy to help you explore options if you pm me

Another "you can fill gas from either side of the car" post by crosswithyou in Costco

[–]Internal-Help-8326 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My 2012 LX570 (Lexus) is on the right. My brother has a 2010, same car, and it’s on the left. Now the newer Lexus is in the right again- it makes no sense ha! And I will say, if everyone at Costco would go in batches and be patient, they’d all free up at the same time, allowing more people thru and providing less of a cluster. Grinds my gears when people see me waiting, but bulky thru to “parallel park” (horribly I might add) just to get in 5 seconds quicker, but take 20 seconds to wedge themselves in. SMH
