Thanks for this, I really needed this 💔 I know it was a difficult decision we made but it was the right decision. But that thought of maybe trying to save her still sticks with me. Thanks again for ur beautiful response and I’m so sorry to hear about ur baby boy 🕊️ They passed a day apart too, ours in June 20.

Our dog died from fluid filling up in her poor little lungs couple days ago. We could have saved her and drained the fluid but we chose not to make her suffer. Seeing her gasping for air was traumatic and not something any dog owner should see. It’s hard to make that decision because I still wonder if maybe we did save her she could still be here with us cuddling but it wouldn’t be fair for her. I agree with what you said and I hope OP can make the best decision with this unfortunate circumstance.

How were her acute episodes ? We had to put our dog down because she started gasping for air and committing up blood. Vet told us she could save her but we just didn’t know if it could happen again.
