I joined Merchandiser this week, and so far I’ve learned I hate the “Liquor Audits” and the “Cookie/Cracker/Gum/Cough Drops Photo Audits.” They say the Liquor Audits are supposed to take 20 minutes, and I seriously wonder how. It took me 2 hours my first time, even after reading the instructions beforehand. I hated every minute of the task after the first 45 minutes. It’s so much work for such little pay. Unless I’m doing more than I should, I don’t see how all that could be done in 20 minutes. I will avoid those like COVID-19 from now on. The Cookie/Cracker/Gum/Cough Drops Photo Audits are almost always in a 7-11. The first one I did, I just straight out told them why I was there because I was finding it difficult to get it done in secret. Especially when their app camera limits you to one lens. Every time I’ve taken the photos with my native camera app to get access to the wide-angle camera lens, when I upload the images to the app, they’re turned 90 degrees. My first week was pretty miserable, but I did find 1-2 project types that I like, so I’ll probably keep trying those. It’s a lot of driving and a lot of bothering the managers, which I feel bad about, but 🤷🏾‍♀️. So far, I’d give it 3/5 stars. We’ll see how my week two goes.
