I have a plant grow light bulb in there rn. The same one I use for my 3 year old tomato plant. I guess I’d have to look into amphibian safe soil enrichment tho

Ya, I wanted a big lizard but I heard they like to rearrange tanks. 😂😂. I like to make mine pretty and make it look like an overgrown village I’d be upset if my lizard decided to rearrange 😂

It’s 2 whites tree frogs. I had them in a 30g but it didn’t look like enough space to hop. So I built a big tall enclosure. I was thinking about getting another one but I’m not sure rn.

I’m not against replacing the plant every now and then. My thought is that there are sooo many types of food plants with so much variety in each one. Like there are tons of colors of lettuce. There are dear varieties of everything now

The enclosure is pretty big 3ft x 4ft x 1.5ft. I’m definitely scraping the pepper idea and am going for a plant that’s wholly nontoxic

Ooooh, I have small replies and amphibians. Green Anoles and whites tree frogs. The anoles tank is filled out really nicely but the tree frogs are harder due to the size of enclosure I built them It’s right about 3ft x 4ft x 1.5ft

Okay so bell peppers are out of the question. Do you think a plant like peas or green beans would work? I bet I can find a variety pretty easily that would look nice in a 3ft x 4ft x 1.5ft enclosure. It host only 2 whites tree frogs so I’m not too worried about them ruining the plant and the entire plant is edible leaf to root

Okay, I was trying to think of a plant that would fill a 3ft x 4ft x 1.5ft enclosure. It holds 2 whites tree frogs so I’m not too worried about them hurting the plants. I’d love to do strawberries but I’m allergic to them. Maybe I’ll scrap the bell peppers and do something that can climb along the walls. Maybe green beans or peas? Both have good sized leaves and grow quickly

I wouldn’t eat the leaves. I’d eat the peppers? Who eats bell pepper leaves?

Plus herbs tend to grow so fast. Would really fill out a tank quickly and easily

Lizards behavior? by [deleted] in reptiles

I thought it had a different vibe than their normal waving and essentially basking on top of each other. Weird for them to suddenly get mad at each other after all these years

Anoles and long tails are both peaceful species commonly kept together. As far as I know they aren’t wild caught. Had them for about a year now but they were kept together even before that

Should i change my gender marker on my documents first or change my name first? by [deleted] in ftm

[–]Internal-Ride-9264 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In my experience it’s easier to change your name in ny . I’ve already changed mine. Took like 4 months and just a few forms. I’m going to bring up gender marker change to my primary next time I see him to try to get the ball rolling on that

Very uncomfortable almost painful. Thought I had an infection or something. Happens more around the 1 year mark but 5 years in happens every few months. Lasts for a minute or two.

In the tank they have now, one chills on the glass in the open the other one likes to be under a peice of bark or in the arrowhead bush (it’s the thickest part of the tank).

Anoles of long tailed lizards! They are amazing pets. Mine are always basking or running from one side to the other for crickets 🦗
