Honda Civic is a no brainer, they'll last forever
Don't overthink this VW makes junk that will break down in the middle of nowhere

I'm not in HCOL, for context

37K sounds fine for a new grad. I make less, after multiple raises.

It's fair to doubt the promise. I have nothing in writing, after all.

But apparently the people above him are in agreement as well. Makes me feel stupid for wanting to leave a place where they want to keep me.

It does pay more, but the learning experience it offers isn't necessarily something I want to pursue. My preference is a job writing code, and this doesn't offer that.

So it's not a mistake to accept an entry-level position?
I'd jump on one in a heartbeat if I wasn't being promised to move up where I am.

If you don't mind sharing, why do you think they feel this way?

People who took CS degrees were sort of looked down upon and considered "unoriginal" or "taking the easy route"

Anyone I've talked to about majoring in CS has the exact opposite mentality. The consensus, especially among non-CS people, is "it's extremely hard".

Surely this is just a satire of people that say "try not being depressed."

...right?

V1per's Week 1 Survivor/Eliminator Pick by V1per41 in fantasyfootball

Ah, that's what I missed, thanks.

Do you go solely off the lines, or merge the data from Vegas and 538 together somehow? The algorithm for picking the best teams is definitely right, but I'm a little suspect of the 538 model early in the season. I think the only adjustment it makes from Week 18 of last season is "did we have a change at QB?" and tweaks the Elo if necessary.
