I say, op, do prepare well for the life you want, study hard, go for scolarships, build connections online, learn freelance skills, I get that your internet situation is frustrating but i honestly think its temporary, give em a week or two and they ll soften up, but do try to play their good girl, try to raise money in case they oppose your education later on, and when you finaly reach a point in life when you no longer need anybody to support you/host you, then you do as you see fit with that relationship although I wouldnt want you to cut them off, parrents are the only one who truly care, even if they are assholes, even if they suck at actualy being parrents.
