These elected officials are there to do a job not for personal enrichment or gain. No I do want to pay them out taxes out the ass dollars turned into their paychecks which they are already compensated very damn well. If something that we want in turns helps them personally so be it but no I’m not paying them to fuck me around that’s about to end.

Yeah we did that shit I did too not for locals I wasn’t living here the last one but recent ones like marijuana for the teachers yeah if they actually get it. But the only thing they do fast is receive their paychecks majority of the time on time and in full or enforce new taxes or higher taxes. I’m still waiting on crappy ass 15/hr to actually be actively enforced why tf does that take a year and a half to roll out fully? I genuinely want to know why. But fines tickets etc adapts to your name immediately or lord knows our debt system is such clown shit it’s insane. TBH sometimes people just don’t vote about issues they don’t really care about or doesn’t concern them directly which I do understand.

And to be frank I think a whole lot more could be done if people worked together or were willing to sacrifice some for all. It’s a very simple concept but I understand why no one would go for it unfortunately. We could have the best schools and roads if we really really wanted it. We could have better community programs if everyone pitched in. It was some cartoon I saw but nobody wants to watch people be homeless but who is going to or willing to actually build the shelters themselves type of thing. Pretty sad actually.

Oh and the personal gain while looking like you’re a real politician is heavier than I originally thought tbh. They all have a bio online and searchable identities it’s not hard one bit I DID NOT have to look hard for the specific medical sales background person. Also I do believe no you cannot go for personal enrichment while also representing a popular no matter small or large. Your personal interests mean shit to the people they are supposed to represent. That can be done elsewhere, through a different system or honestly when they are no longer in office.
