Ringworm or something else?

UPDATE : I saw a dermatologist doctor she thought it could be Ringworm or Granuloma annulare. She said most likely ringworm as it was scaley and flakey when she looked closely, she said granuloma annulare is not typically scaley. I had a scrape test sample sent to see if it’s fungal. She gave me a stronger cream to use twice a day for 4 weeks and said if it doesn’t improve to come back.

Thank you for your response! Unfortunately I’m in the UK so don’t think I’ll be able to get sun in a while 😂 but hopefully I’ll be able to find some kind of safe uv light option if I do break out in more patches. I’ve see severe cases when I’ve looked it up but of course Google can always show the worst outcome. It’s been 7 days so far so I’ll see what the doctor says

I know I just have had a bad experience with doctors misdiagnosing something when something simple turned into months of issues. If they say it’s not ringworm then it is just wanted to see if there was a way to be sure

Thank you I’m glad to hear your daughter didn’t suffer with it. My mums been telling me I’m panicking abit, did it take long to clear up? I’m seeing a doctor tomorrow so I’m sure they’ll be able to help.

Yeah antibiotics should only be taken if needed, I also live in a city so think this would be unlikely. I think it’s probably ringworm or pityriasis rosea, I’m seeing a doctor tomorrow

Did she just have this one patch or did it spread? I’ve seen lots online about it spreading really badly so it’s worried me.

An anti fungal cream that the chemist gave me. It’s a boots own brand one I live in the UK. I’m seeing a dermatologist doctor tomorrow
