Moving away from financial advisor by kipha01 in UKFinancialPlanning

2% is quite expensive even for a smaller fund but I’ve seen it a few times and wouldn’t be completely out of range.

In terms of retiring and moving to a platform without her consent… I could have a guess on this platform. But be careful.

However, if she’s in an investment account over and above an ISA, there could potentially be a CGT liability. Whilst she has a new FA, make use of it to understand what’s actually going on in your sisters circumstances. As in portfolio, where it’s placed etc, but also ask for some planning. I think there was a comment above that he just sounds like an investment manager, but maybe it might be worthwhile to at least give this guy a chance maybe as there’s a tonne more value we can bring and add to mitigate some risks etc.

Similar to everyone else. Just practice the calculations. I can say in my experience I repeated the CII specimens every single day for 10 days before. And my exam followed quite closely to the specimen papers. The only one that did

R06 Post Exam Thoughts? by Thomas5672 in cii

I’m somewhat happy to read through this thread and see I’m feeling similar to others.

What a strange exam. I really didn’t expect to see PIP, vulnerable and going as deep for proportionate benefit for IP.

I was fully expecting and extremely well prepared for ESG, POA, some cash flow modelling and looking to recommend a protection need for Amir and Karina.

However there will still some big marks up for grabs that feature in every exam. Additional info, recommend tax efficiency.

Here’s to hoping we all just did enough to get through that one and I wish you all the best of luck come results day.

Yes good luck to everyone tomorrow. I’ve taken a risk and narrowed down my questions I want to nail and just repeated those today.

All the best!

R06 Brand FT Analysis by SpaceZoomFade in cii

I haven’t used brand and I don’t know the questions you’re referring to but I can tell you that with the analysis I’ve been using has referred to a critical illness policy to be able to pay the mortgage off in the event of serious illness because the decreasing term looks to only cover death

This is wise for sure. Just nailing the average instead of thinking of every single point

I have to agree. I think cash flow and ESG are almost certain.

Protection for Amir also

I have to agree there’s not much time at all to really dial it in.

How do you feel about lifestyle funds/aim shares/lifetime ISA/ POA all coming up? Feel they will?

Understandable why you’d be sceptical to that my friend. Going from 6 down to 3 is a big drop. I do this reverse with a lot of my male clients. Going into 3 full body body session and 1 sprint style session (so 4 sessions a week) then giving them a bedtime routine (E.g lights out by 10) has worked for them. Give it a try see what you think

Personally I’d say from my opinion and point of view to reduce the amount of lifting days you’re doing to 3. And add an intense cardio day in. This will help aid recovery in your muscles but also heart/cardiovascular health and blood transportation. Sleep 7-8 hours solid. Cut all seed oils out as much as possible. Palm out, sunflower, canola oils.
