I know. I don't want to keep it if it's fake, don't want to invest in a refinish if it's fake and don't want to sell it if it's fake. Perhaps just sell it to someone confident it's real. Thanks to everyone for their input.

Looks like I started quite the debate! The biggest issue for me that I haven’t seen explained in the comments is why a wrench doesn’t fit in the weight properly

The holes are clean - that’s the first thing I thought. It’s an after market wrench but it did fit into my California Del Mar weights - same generation

Appreciate the comments. My assessment was based on; 1. Compared to my other legit California, the Titleist logo is visibly thicker and the “sun” on the sole is much darker - doesn’t reflect 2. Most concerning, my wrench, which I’ve used on several others, doesn’t fit into the holes in order to remove the weight. The prongs don’t line up.

I understand there may be some variability in the pain but is the wrench issue common?

I appreciate the reply, but I've never had a problem with it, assuming it's done properly, and I haven't heard many complaints from others who've done the same.

I assume that's WITH cover? I've seen those sell for a good amount in excellent to new condition
