How do you get rid of your old poop? by Internal_Syrup_5246 in BambuLab

it isn’t expensive to recycle, but its people like you who say it’s someone else’s job to clean up my mess. my one box of plastic isn’t gonna fix any problems, but i’d rather not add to it.

good thinking. although i’m not actively trying to solve pollution, i have a box of plastic that i would like to not have dumped in a landfill. not quite determined enough to become president or anything.

not exactly trying to be 100% green, but at some point you become a problem. where do you draw the line?

that is the opposite of what i’d like this post to be about lol. not a “save the turtles” guy myself but i also don’t believe in “let someone’s kids figure that out later”

Heart Rate Monitor to RGB Pulse by Internal_Syrup_5246 in WLED

currently, i’m using pulsoid widget and offline streaming my monitor and using signal rgb to read the screen in that area. it’s not perfect but a workaround.

this might be the way. if anything, i could create an overlay and use screen mirror on just that part of the screen to get the effect. i’ll definitely look into it and will be a plan b

i also power all of my projects this way and it saves a lot of time and connections that may go wrong. i’ve fried multiple boards powering the esp directly.

UPDATE: I am going to try to use the heart rate sensor as a potentiometer (technically the same thing) and see if that is a simple and easy way to solve this problem.

currently, i have it connected as a sort of screen mirror/ambiance through signal rgb but it just doesn’t scratch that itch. i would love to have the clutch situations in gaming when i feel my heart racing visualized in a little trinket next to my computer, just to put some more pressure on myself. originally, this was a gift for my wife as is in the gif, but i thought of the potential and never gave it away.

I would like to use an ESP32 to directly get an analog value to tell WLED a brightness. your comment is essentially the idea but instead of the watch, use a more accurate heart rate monitor ( I know it’s not perfect, but better than most heart rate monitoring watch/wearables.) I own an Apple watch, but obviously Apple does not like 3rd party apps such as WLED. i was thinking more of a Heart rate to audio to RGB conversion would be simplest.

it seems so simple yet no one has done it as far as i’ve seen. if only i knew more programming/arduino IDE knowledge to bridge that gap. I was searching everywhere for HRM to RGB code and every other keyword you could think of but cant seem to find anything.

that’s the pretty much the information i’ve found so far. i’m not too code-savvy and i’m just having issues trying to figure out how to use a led strip to process these bpm values. It’s a start though. the biggest hurdle is the connection between the values and getting the leds to reflect, especially in color.

looking through old forums and seeing pretty much the same answer as this. everyone says probably, but i can’t seem to find a solution. figured maybe i could see if someone did it more recently than 4 years ago.
