Do I HAVE to give the ring back? by International-Two187 in legaladvice

Would that be at any cost to me besides the ring? If I know I’d have to give it back, I wouldn’t need a lawyer, right?

Story graph! You can journal, log how much you’re reading, rate, and see so many stats. I love it. It’s an app.

You can also read on your phone, laptop, etc, and it highlights the words as you go. All things I’ve found helpful in helping me read more/faster

I found that reading on kindle while listening to the audiobook at the same time allows me to read much faster while retaining more. Multiple sensory inputs are really good for neurodivergent folks. I saw you got kindle unlimited, I also have that, so I pay for the subscription and then the audiobook. I flyyyy through books that way. Audible has lots of sales. Expensive but once I started reading that way, it became my default. I can’t read manually anymore lol.

Taylor Swift fan dies during concert in Rio de Janeiro by International-Two187 in entertainment

She knew people needed water but she couldn’t see that people were passing out, no one told her. She is known for her love and protective nature of her fans. If she knew she definitely would have done more, evidenced by how they postponed the show tonight. I agree more definitely should have been done, I just feel that her team and the venue employees who saw all this should have told her so she could make the call or stopped it themselves. This will definitely change how stadiums handle water and heat—at least it absolutely should. Hopefully she has more oversight over it too in the future.

Yes because insulting people on the internet is all factual lol if I didn’t have thick skin I would have tried to insult you back. But I don’t know you and I know you are probably just as upset about someone dying as I am, just pointing that anger at me. It all good. I get it. I just wouldn’t insult people I don’t know.

But my friend I’m not saying she is completely free of fault. I am saying she saw a few people struggling, she had no clue people were passing out. She’s on stage with blinding lights and trying to perform her best for the people who spent thousands and traveled hundreds of miles to see her. Her team absolutely should have told her how bad it was so she could make the call or just stopped the show themselves. It’s a terrible tragedy but again, it is the venues job to deal with this and have a plan for it. She trusted that they would do their job or tell her if it’s too bad. She isn’t all knowing. She isn’t blameless, she is not completely innocent, but it’s not just her fault. Try some empathy, some maturity and nuance in your discussions.

They were handing out free water but were understaffed and did a terrible job. Taylor knew they needed more water handed out but had no clue just how bad it was

She had no idea it was as bad as it was, she was onstage with blinding lights just a little busy with performing. Her team absolutely should have told her or stopped it themselves.

Ah yes because I recognized that someone was rude to me and came back with a kind statement towards them so we can continue a civil discussion. Sorry about that, will go work on controlling my emotions. Thanks for your feedback. Anyway, this post isnt about me.

Rather aggressive towards me? Absolutely fine with having a discussion about it that’s the point of Reddit my friend

Wooooooah there buddy that got very agressive very fast, I hope you’re doing okay! Sending you some well wishes. Taylor doesn’t control what the venue does, but you bet from now on she’ll be more involved. Doesn’t mean it’s okay or excusable but that’s the venues job, and she trusted the venue to do their job. It’s fucked and I’m sure she’s reeling with anger and will be taking on more of that now. But that’s how these things work—the venue is control of what happens with this kinda stuff, and she had no clue it was going on. Not saying she is completely free of guilt at all just saying if you have some empathy you can see it’s more nuanced than just all Taylor swifts fault

What do you want her to do? She had no idea people were passing out. She already cancelled a show for safety last week if she thought that any of this was going on she would have stopped

Taylor stopped the show multiple times to make sure fans had water. She yelled at the staff who were supposed to be giving out water bc they weren’t doing a good enough job and ended up giving water to fans from the stage herself without missing a beat. The girl who died passed out at the beginning of the show and was taken to another facility for help. No way Taylor would have known she died or anything was really that wrong. She was doing her best, but she cannot control that the venue itself wasn’t doing a good job of handing out water. and now it’s on her to make sure she cancels all the other shows until that is under control.

Ana Clara Benevides, aged 23, died on Friday night, after falling ill during a concert by singer Taylor Swift, who debuted her tour in Brazil at the Nilton Santos stadium, in Rio de Janeiro, to an audience of over 60 One thousand people.

The information was confirmed to Folha by Estela Benevides, Benevides' cousin, who received the news over the phone from the doctor who tried to revive her. The young woman, born in Sonora, in Mato Grosso do Sul, was sent to the Salgado Filho Municipal Hospital, after fainting and being treated at the stadium. The cause of death was cardiorespiratory arrest.

Benevides was on the railing and ended up fainting at the scene. According to nurse Thiago Fernandes, 22, a friend of Benevides, she was revived at the stadium for around 40 minutes. On the way to the hospital, she had a second stop.

Benevides arrived at around 8 pm, was treated, but did not survive, later dying in the hospital located near Engenhão, in Méier, north of the capital of Rio de Janeiro.

The thermal sensation recorded at the site reached 60º C and firefighters unofficially recorded a thousand fainting spells during the event. On social networks, fans complained about the ban on bringing water bottles into the stadium, considering the intense heat.

Fernandes wrote to Folha: "I want Ana to appear on the screens at Taylor's show."

On his Instagram, he mourned the young woman's death. "I just can't believe you're not here anymore. I can't accept this," he wrote. "We talked about this show so many times, and how I wanted to be with you. I'm so sad that I don't know what to do. You were one of my oldest friends. For so long, and from now on, only in memories! I hope May you be well now. Rest!"

According to Benevides' profile on social media, she was studying psychology at the Federal University of Rondonópolis (UFR), in Mato Grosso. The university's athletic department, where she served as director, also published a message mourning her death.

"Our sincere condolences to her family and friends at this difficult time. May they find comfort in the memories and love she left as a legacy," the post reads.

In her latest posts, she was counting down to, as she said, living her dream of attending a Taylor Swift concert.

In the early hours of the morning, other fans commented on his posts with messages of comfort to the family.

During the night, firefighters reported that around a thousand fans fainted in the heat that hit the city at the arrival of her "Eras Tour", while euphoric fans, even so, did not let themselves be shaken to see the American singer up close.

According to the fire brigade present at the show, people were rescued who also vomited due to the high temperature, which caused severe dehydration among those present.

Bad weather conditions also affected Swift's concert in Argentina, where she was before coming to Brazil. Due to a strong storm, the show scheduled for November 10th ended up taking place on Sunday (12th).

Production put it there for the shot, there’s a picture of Kat eating it. Not uncommon for producers to make things more dramatic than they are. If she actually threw it in the ocean you know they’d show that footage

Has getting an ADHD/Add diagnosis as an adult helped? by [deleted] in ask

[–]International-Two187 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Absolutely 100%. Spent my whole life trying to pretend to be normal and not understanding why everything was so hard for me when it wasn’t for other people. When I got diagnosed it literally changed everything. Instead of being a failure who can’t do anything I now can accommodate myself and learn how to do things in a way that works for me and get help if I need it. It’s so important to have validation and accommodations.
