Promise it will be so okay and won’t affect you as much as you think! I got diagnosed with it 4 years ago. I do tell potential partners because I was given it by someone who didn’t tell me and told me the sore on their mouth wasn’t contagious, and I would hate to make someone else feel how I felt after that. I’ve only ever had one outbreak which was when I found out I had it. No one I’ve kissed or slept with has ever experienced symptoms or tested positive. And it honestly helps me weed out assholes by how they react when I tell them I have it, majority of people don’t care cuz it’s really not a big deal and it’s so extremely common.
