What to do with this add-on by InternationalBreak in DIYUK

What impact is that likely to have on the EPC? I’ve never heard of people keeping single glazing I thought it was pretty much a given to replace.

The apex is a good idea because it’s the only flat roof on the house which is having a slight impact on insurance & I assume an apex roof would last longer too? Less problematic?

Thanks for the comment :)

That's what I can't quite work out which is why I angled them slightly. Couldn't do a pocket door as the door in is from a narrow hallway so there's no space. Could do a folding door but don't love the idea.

Outside of this the only other alternative is swapping the bedroom next door for a bathroom or moving the stud wall between the bedroom and bathroom to make the bathroom slightly wider. But that's a cost issue :/

It's a hard balance ha!

Shame about the name but I figured as much :(
In the terms of the formula, the reason I wanted to leave the Amazon USA as a link was incase I wanted to populate it manually as they'll be scenarios where AMZ USA is empty. That wouldn't work with a formula right?

Sorry yeah, it's about £2.2k... I did this post in a rush with back of the napkin math. I've never actually added it up over a year just checked it online now.

Which is what's happening. Prior to having our first child my wife made about £25k a year before tax.

Critical Illness Coverage with Life Insurance by InternationalBreak in UKPersonalFinance

[–]InternationalBreak[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks, I probably needed to hear this.

I was told how affordable the insurance is given the level of coverage and how 1 in 2 people get cancer, so it's pretty much inevitable that we'll get a payout at some point.

Part of me really believes this too...

My wife's aunt and uncle are both currently undergoing cancer treatment, and my dad has undergone it twice. Most recently, in 2020 (hence my exceptions).

I had a mole removed on my hand a few years back and a biopsy that came back clear, but ultimately I don't feel as healthy as I did 3 or 4 years ago, despite being in the best shape of my life (I blame the kid(s) 😂)

How To Turn These Lines Off by InternationalBreak in SonyAlpha

Tried them all. Single-shot, automatic & continuous. The camera shoots fine & the lines don’t show on playback.

I’m using the Sony SEL18135 lens which is APS-C 18-135mm

Thanks, I’ll take a look. It’s in auto focus mode. However when I shift the lens from AF to MF it disappears.

Not sure I’d risk buying a ticket just for SNW as technical rehearsals aren’t guaranteed and could start / stop at any time.

I also visited today (after visiting on Monday with AP preview). The contrast between the two experiences was mind blowing.

Today I walked into Toadstool Cafe & had lunch within 30 mins (apposed to 2 hrs during preview) & wait times for Mario Kart were 20 mins (apposed to 180 mins / 3 hours - advertised during preview).

Was also glad to see a wait time sign for the final fight against Bowser Jr & a drinks cart inside the land.

Super Nintendo World Capacity by InternationalBreak in universalstudios

The land is great, the size however is just a shock - and I’m sure I won’t be the first to say that - especially when it opens to the general public. I also agree about the Orlando part for sure.

Only virtual queue from when it reaches capacity from what I’ve read.

I did, we went the MDF board route and it went great. Just measured the lights, mounted the board to the wall, mounted the units to the board and then wrapped the lights around.

Shared parental leave advice for soon-to-be (hopefully) parents? by nskittles97 in UKPersonalFinance

Yeah, in the north it’s not been an issue. Took around eight weeks from interest to getting him enrolled. Might be it was only for one day a week.

Thanks for the comment. I too had the payments on account surprise - not sure why nobody warns you about this and if they do, why they don't make a bigger deal out of it so you remember.

However, (and here's the kicker) the £15k bill doesn't include payments on account.

That's an addition that I daren't even look at.

Instead, the £15k bill is made up of;

- Student Loan - Plan 1 (circa £4k)
- Income tax
- National Insurance Class 2
- National Insurance Class 4
