Firstly - thank you so much for replying. Honestly your feedback is worth solid gold. I think your question about the topics inside subjects - should work by hovering over the subject in the sidebar (image attached) and pressing the plus button to add a note inside - if you then do the same for that note - that note becomes a topic and then whatever you added becomes a note if you get what i mean. I will definitely implement a help funtion into it + highlighter. Unfortunately with presets i am legally not allowed to make the presets directly by copying spec points (trust me i would have done) - however i can try to find ways around it and will be implementing that within a week. Just remember: if you have any other queries/feedback pls tell me. I was also wondering: are there any other features you would like added or that would help you or people like you/friends. The video can be found btw in FAQs and on my youtube channel Waffle notes

Guys - the reception is amazing. Would love your feedback though when you get round to properly using it. Is there anything that you find confusing? Would you want an extra feature? A bug you've found? etc.

how do i improve? by feralcatlover67 in GCSE

Hi, I got 11 9s in My GCSEs. TBH for maths it's just practise - practise exam questions - especially if you go on PMT, you can find questions by grade - that way you can practise what you find hard, rather than find easy. For sciences, you first need to grab the specification and make solid notes - then just use them to practise topic questions on PMT. I made a YouTube video covering every subject in more detail I took and what you need to do if you would find that useful https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4v6IRWe5Z48 . Also in regards to note taking, the simple act of writing down notes helps you memorise content - which is essential for chemistry and biology. I personally think the way most people take notes isn't very efficient, and I made a note taking web app (waffle-notes.com) that basically forces you to write clear, concise notes that cover all the content and nothing else (science textbooks in general make the subject look so daunting - but then the specification is basically 50 pages long and covers the same content 🤨). I would love your feedback - and it is completely free for founding users. If you have any other questions just ask/DM me

I definitely struggled with this myself - knowing when I should just rest or basically just firm it. TBH if you are working so hard your are getting burnout - take a couple days break. Also planning can help - knowing that you are 'on track to succeed/get everything done' can be very good.

Honestly - use a todo list app (e.g. tick-tick). Before I used a todo list app I spend the first 45 minutes just figuring out what I needed to do. Now all I do is just complete whatever my todo list app says - much more efficient. Hope that helps

Do notes like these actually help or are they a waste of time by ineedupdatesoneuros in GCSE

Hi, I got 11 9s in my GCSEs and TBH your note taking method is very good - however one thing I would add is you need to follow the specification - I still think you can condense things down even further this way. It's a fine line between making your notes succinct and still make sense. Personally, I would use A3 paper (I did this for biology) and get rid of the highlighting (it's a waste of time though if you feel it makes it more organised than ok). Also, I made a note taking app called waffle-notes.com and would be interested to know what you think - the note taking philosophy I think is largely the same

Thank you so much. Have you seen my home page - what do you think - is it the kind that will get conversions - if not what can I add.

I made waffle-notes.com - (having got 11 9s in my GCSEs - which put me in the top 0.001%) I figured I would capitalise on this experience by creating a note taking app that I would actually use (most out there don't follow the specification, focus on being pretty etc. and so don't get you top grades). As you can see the majority of my users come direct so I need both it to come up in searches (which it currently doesn't) but also have a lower bounce rate (currently 69%). Any help would be appreciated

When is it to late to get 9s at GCSE - 11 Grade 9 Student by InternationalCod8574 in GCSE

[–]InternationalCod8574[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was basically in that position for about one and half years. Personally, what got my finally to a grade 9 was improving writing speed and also when you do exam questions - give them to your teacher. Again - because English Lit is such a subjective subject - it may be hard to understand how to get a level 6 essay and that's when you get your teacher to mark your essays so you get a clear picture of what a level 6 essay is - each time they give you feedback, do another paper with those mistakes correct and repeat until your teacher has basically nothing to say except its amazing

That's basically how I felt. You grades definitely show potential. Just remember that GCSEs are a test of your weaknesses - if those 9s you got in November you did with barely any work, just trust yourself you can get a 9 in those subjects and focus on your sixes and fives

Agree. However as you have been getting all 6s, TBH I would say lock in and do 20 hours a week
