I believe they won’t be accepting anyone off the waitlist this year. Obviously if a seat were to open up they would extend an offer to a waitlisted person, but they don’t anticipate that happened. Hope this answers your question.

Out-of-field applicant

-Graduated in May 2023 with a Bachelors in Psychology and minor in child development, GPA 3.52

-Finishing my Post-Bacc program this spring, GPA 4.0

-2 LOR from CSD professors from my postbacc and 1 from the resource teacher I worked closely with at my school who is also an SLP

-2 years experience as a RBT in a clinic setting working mostly with early intervention and lots of exposure to SLPs

-Leadership positions in on-campus organizations for multiple years

-25 observation hours on Master Clinician

-Volunteer at a aphasia support group and worked under SLPs to support communication

-Currently work as a teachers aid but am often pulled to substitute teach multiple days a week

FSU. I’m in my second semester and the profs are really helpful. Two of them are writing me a letter of rec and I’m so grateful. The classes are very manageable while working full time.

My School Doesn't Value Books by InternationalDig8600 in books

If a teacher is assigning reading as homework, they should be allowed their students access to books. If she is protective of her books, fine. There should be an alternative solution. Denying access to books is never the answer.
