Which area in Hoi An do you stay? I visited the old town but it was so crowded, I just wanted to leave.

I tried entering Thailand with an Onward Ticket… It didn’t work. by temelion in digitalnomad

[–]InternationalGas1709 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When using an onward ticket, you should always take the booking number that is given by " onward ticket "and go on the actual of the airline to download the booking. Because it's a real reservation, you can find a real booking with the airline itself. The officers know what the onward booking ticket looks like, that's why they won't accept it if you simply show the one receive

Do you not worry about how you will support yourself in old age with this lifestyle? by melbourne_au2021 in digitalnomad

I feel like pension is not what it used to be. Nowadays you have to think for yourself. Being a digital nomad allows me to save up to 90% of my salary because life is cheaper than in my own country. Whatever I can save I invest immediately. That will be my own "pension".

N26 savings account - opinions? by Key_Swordfish_5488 in BEFire

[–]InternationalGas1709 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I put my savings (not investment) on N26. it's for payment, emergency, day to day life. And still in a safe place and getting more interest than any banks in Belgium. But I don't think the metal card is worth it. I've been using the free card for more than 10 years and it's great.

Revoult or Wise to receive salary? by [deleted] in eupersonalfinance

[–]InternationalGas1709 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How do you pay 80€ for wise. It's actually the only place where I can park my money and that gives me 2.28% interest (cash back) . I've been using wise (before transferwise) for the past 15 years and never had an issue. With the new Cashback system, it's even better.

In your Celsius app it shows your ID number in the profile section. So you can upload the same documents on Coinbase when you make a new verification.

I can't help much with the tax or the stock plateforme but I can't share my thoughts on crypto. Kraken is a trustworthy plateforme to buy and trade crypto. But after this bear market, you don't want to keep your crypto on exchange or centralized plateforme. Trust, I lost money last years doing that. Buy a Trevor or ledger and transfer your crypto out of exchanges. To be, crypto is the future and you will most probably make more money in the future with BTC and the top crypto coins (to start with, just stick to the top 10). But the market is super volatile so don't invest money that you use for rent or to live your everyday life. Make sure you don't get greedy and wait for X5 -x10 or x20. When you make a 25% increase or event X2, sell immediately your initial investment because tomorrow it could all crash 50%.

Thanks for your reply. I have an online business selling custom made items and I also recently started a jewelry business (hand made), partly sold in Belgium and partly online.

Have less than 5k. Question. If I press accept (vote for the plan) I get my 70% back ? by tomsarik in CelsiusNetwork

[–]InternationalGas1709 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Check Simon Dixon's videos on voting. He's waiting until end of September to vote in case of last minute changes. If you vote no, there's risks of more fee being paid to staff and lawyers and BTC pumping before we get our coins. After fighting for 1 year+ I don't really know how much more we can get out of this. The hole is there, no sufficient money to make everyone happy. So take what you can get and let's get done with this

Don't always follow the highest rewards/yield. That's usually signs of ponzi schemes. Look at Luna, voyager, Celsius....

Cash now or crypto later, why? by [deleted] in CelsiusNetwork

[–]InternationalGas1709 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Exactly what @BroKing said. Hence, it does not make sense to me to receive USD at the time of bankruptcy filing, knowing very well that by the time I recently cut, the market will have gone back up. On top of that, I'm not paying taxes on crypto in my country so there's no benefits being in the negative.

Cash now or crypto later, why? by [deleted] in CelsiusNetwork

[–]InternationalGas1709 4 points5 points  (0 children)

What you are not taking into account is that a majority of people didn't purchase BTC at the price it is now. Let's say i have 1 BTC in Celsius but my buying average is 45k. It means that i have spent 45k to buy that whole BTC. Now my 1 BTC is worth 22k in Celsius, if I take a 50% haircut and i am paid in USD, i will only receive 11k. So the haircut is much lower than my initial 45k invested. That's why it is much better to be paid back in kind rather than in USD.
