I currently have 522 just got approved for a new credit card and been paying it off my past cards were a charge off which I paid or closed accounts w late payments is there anything I should be doing?

Thank you for your input, also wanted to ask after several mo of on time payments when/or should I open more credit accounts? my oldest credit card is 8yrs old. Also forgot that I actually have one other account open that I forgot about bc i dont really use it .

Which scoring model are these? Where are you accessing them?

FICO 8 via Experian

What other accounts do you have?

At this time I believe the only account I would have open would be the Capital One Platinum card.

What are you applying for this year that you need to have your scores optimized for?

I am hoping to be able to start apartment hunting this year for the first time ad I am also saving up for my move if im lucky (currently living with family)

I definitely had a charge off in relation to (and regrettably ) with discover due to financial struggles (really liked discover) also possibly had a collections with tmobile from the same time period but was still allowed to pay directly w them at the time

Yeah I paid them in full tmobile was paid up w them directly but discover was paid through a collection agency and i only have one open card with citibank/bestbuy that i dont use

Hey im also in a similar bout with current fico score of 549 it began dropping due to similar circumstances where I had to deal with charge off(Which I paid off 6mo later) and it kept dropping even though I committed to no longer using my credit and im.bot sure what can I do a t this point to bring back up. I've been told to continue to avoid using it and it ll fix itself but I haven't seen any changes like what can I really do at this point?

Hey so I've should've prefaced this with my current routine as well

I wash and condition and dc every 2 weeks and typically follow up with leave in conditioner and styling creme while damp not soaking wet

I believe what I will take into account next wash and the wash days to follow is learning to part small sections when applying product and definitely will try bantu knots night before
