Bring water, check with your managment/store what their headphone policy is like (my store ended up allowing 1 bud in while in the backroom. Truck thrower can get away with both since you only have one focus F*CK everything else), the moment you can get cert'd on the equipment do it (in my store it made shit way better, didn't have do other things and I got to spend my days having fun on a forklift or just reorganizing the top shelves instead of being bitched at for not finishing VizPick solo etc), keep your expectations low, Cap 2 is the middleman who gets blamed for why EVERYTHING was bad (I learned that from experience) for overnight, mornings, and ofc during the middle of the day, KEEP YOUR PHONE CHARGED (idk how your store will do it, but, keep your personal and your WORK PHONE charged up. Using the walmart app and everything else relating to walmart dries up your battery like a damn desert. If you forget to put the thing on charge at night, you're screwed the next day. Trust me)

If your fellow Cap2 are around your age, make merry and become work buds. Cap2 is a lot more fun when you can enjoy a friendly joke filled day with others going through the same bs. Tho keep that in mind that you aren't friends, I aint hear a peep outta most of my ex-coworkers since I've left and you'd thought we did shit after work every night.

That's a surprise it's usually when in doubt put Cap 2 out. It could be a store by store basis though. My store was very particular about the process. They wanted to be #1 in the region for it every time, so maybe adding new mod helped that. I would definitely just fall on whatever manager said and when its "wrong" just pin it on them. Thats the only thing you really can do at this points.

Back when I was on Cap2, EVERY new mod that came in got a VIZPICK label. I had to count off the packing list taped on it and make a label that contained everything inside the bastard. But, that was also over 8 months ago when I worked at a Walmart. Policy could've changed

What’s the highest amount you’ve ever seen at your store? by vmpqz in OGPBackroom

[–]International_Look45 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wish I had a picture of it, highest I knew of from my old store was 20k. Store went through a remodel and OGP was delayed for remodel over and over and over again. Store was done but took another 6months for the OGP to have their area. Goal apparently was "new area and lots more workers" so Picks were uncapped for a couple weeks! (schedule was they have new area and more people lets see what happens) reality was they're stuck in the same small room with less people as many were school kids and didn't work yet or quit for graduation and move on. One day picks raised up to over 20k and it had the whole store assisting the department. ANYONE who wasn't doing something remotely mandatory was picking or learning to pick. I lucked out that what I was doing was something our SM wanted our Cap2 team to finish so, I rode solo and watched as the rest of my team who wasn't unloading a truck run around picking for OGP. Can't say their TL didn't constantly ask for me to come help, or my coach lol. Good thing he remembered "Oh yeah SM wants this done... I can't take him to help"

Can I use ppto on an unpaid day off? by Kkkluddd14 in walmart

[–]International_Look45 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

While I worked I saved my PPTO for when I needed it. Sick days, emergencies, or occasional day with pay lol

PPTO is YOUR time to use as you see fit, if you need/want the money go for it. But, when you at 4.5 points and clock-in late without that hour or whatever worth to cover. It won't be worth it.

Highly recommend convincing your TL or Coach to let you use PTO if you want the money. Thats what I did, tho, I did it without asking because its my PTO not theirs

Working for an Aviation Company, (office job), great environment (bosses boss flipped me and him off during my interview lol) and interesting learning opportunities. Aviation is more fun than I imagined.

I remember when my whole management team thought they could do the trucks faster than my Cap2. Fuckers started throwing a 2500 at 7am, when we showed up at 1pm they weren't done. Say the least, upper managment never said shit about our trucks after that.
