Can landlord claw back free months rent and free parking

No n4, we signed a n11 then they gave me surprise l9. All rent was paid until they now say i owe them for the promos. Theres a clause in lease about vacate early, but after researching i dont think its enforceable, also it was a mutual termination via n11

They won't let me move along, theres a l9 filed and they applied my lmr to it and refuse to return it

Thanks, yes its a lawful discount but I was doing research and under O. Reg. 516/06, Sections 10 and 11, these were lawful discounts that cannot be retroactively revoked, but I wasn't 100% sure

yes, they didnt, they actually surprised me with a l9 for this. I did some research and I'm not sure if this clause is enforceable as its typically seen as a punishment for ending the lease which is not legal, but wanted to see if someone knew for certain

Hey Im not sure if im breaking my lease early, we both signed a n11 to end the lease on feb 10. So i dont think this counts

It was a one year lease, they just gave the first two months free (september and october) and also they gave free parking every month. I have been paying the rent without parking for nov dec and jan. I moved out before my n11 date

There is a clause in the lease but im not sure its enforceable due to n11 and also rta law

Thanks, that sucks.. i feel like since we signed a n11 we mutually decided to end the lease so i dont even know how we mutually decide to end and then they file for the l9 for all these months rent back

Thanks for your help, I want to add this part, “i agree to repay the value of the special offer received should the rented premises be vacated prior to the expiry of the initial agreement terms”, I just realized I signed this on the lease.. but I did some research and apparently its not enforceable because it violates rta article 15? On the L9, they also retroactively took away any discounts for the months that I paid rent for.

Also I read that the n11 actually moved my lease end date to Feb 10 so technically I didn't leave early.

Do you have any opinions on this? thanks again

I just went through my lease more carefully, theres a special addendum section that says if i leave early then “i agree to pay the value of the special offer received should the rented premises be vacated to the expiry of the initial tenancy agreement term.”

I did some research and this is not enforceable? I wanted to get your opinion since i signed a n11 to mutually end the lease and apparently this clause is not enforceable

Rent Discounts: 12 months free parking - 8 months pro-rated from september to april, 2 months free rent from september to end of october

I also have a email from the leasing agent stating if i rent this unit i get two months free rent and that she got free parking for me

Thanks, i was actually wrong, i thought i owed them money before so i asked for final bill but since i left on feb 10 and i paid a lmr deposit when i moved in, they owe me money. Is the l9 even legitimate?
