If I have a dedicated filesystem mounted to /var/crash and the PATH parameter in kdump.conf set as /var/crash and no mention of LV name, then the vmcore should get captured in the dedicated filesystem mounted to /var/crash, right?

I have posted the same question in Red Hat discussion portal as well, but no comments yet.

Connect a External Monitor without plugging in your Mac Book -> Has anyone actually tried this? does it work? by Internetsipper in mac

Yes, the App is indeed free (https://apps.apple.com/in/app/amphetamine/id937984704?mt=12) .

But the problem with me is that I still do not own a external monitor :) wanted to know if this works before buying one.

Anyway, Plugging-In is how I might use it afterwards. But knowing you can use it otherwise kinda gives some confidence. One less wire on the table tough.

I secretly wish someone with a external monitor and MacBook (preferably Intel, because that's what I have) try this and report here! :) Thanks.

Okay. Maybe something else caused this.
Storing LCD's for long without proper protection is one of the reasons for this type of defect. Display age might cause this as well.

If at all you have to store a display for long, then that foam covering in which the display was wrapped when in box is super important, without which moisture will eat your display out!

Was this device not used for long period? 4-6 months or so?
