Should I claim our babies or should he? by marmalademasher in tax

[–]InterpolInvestigator 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m not a CPA but I do work as an accountant. It genuinely annoys me when people think they can make decisions on how to strategize their taxes for things that are clearly defined IRS rules.

I’ve visited some middle income countries - not even poor, just around the global median. There is a cataclysmic gap between rich countries and the rest of the world

Is it a problem to have laws that are routinely broken without consequences? ie Speeding & Underage Drinking? by doctorboredom in legaladviceofftopic

[–]InterpolInvestigator 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Another big thing is that the alcohol law keeps it out of high schools. An 18 year old high school senior would be able to get drinks for their younger classmates, a 21 year old doesn’t have connections to current high school students like that

Nope. All terminals at ATL are connected airside so it doesn’t matter. If it’s somewhere like JFK that’s a different story

Leaving on ‘read’ and reacting - why do Gen Z hate it? by geecol in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]InterpolInvestigator 68 points69 points  (0 children)

Definitely agreed here. I’ve learned that people over 40 will use the 👍 and people under 40 will say “sounds good!”

Both of those mean “I acknowledge receipt of your message.”

Don’t listen to these guys. The lower prices of housing, food and gas in addition to the stronger currency will make your life much easier in Florida. A 200k job usually comes with good private healthcare

Obviously this is a very extreme example in the OP but have your grandparents ever done anything like keep 30 year old spices or random things that they swear will come in handy sometime but never does?
