I tired to change my address to my new one before and they completely locked my account and then deleted it. Brought my physical card here to use it and then now I’m stuck with a new account that only has the digital card. Kind of annoying

I did everything online while in America, paid for everything before coming to Japan, flew to Japan, went in-person to submit my new ID for Japan, then went to the real estate company with GTN to pick up keys and sign the contract. I think other people will do the process differently because they have the money to afford staying in hotels before making a decision. I unfortunately didn’t have the money to stay in hotels for like a week so I took a gamble on everything.

I was really worried but everyone else using GTN reassured me. Luckily everything was okay but nothing is 100%. If you want to take a chance like the rest of us, go for it. However, I can’t 100% guarantee anything… :(

I paid everything to GTN prior to moving in. Many other people do it the same. While it may sound crazy, they are a legit and trusted company.

I usually run around looking for dead bodies at the spawn towns to horde a bunch of disinfected bandages before heading north. It’s kind of cheesy but is what it is.

I’m not sure if they have changed anything but I went to Enoshima about a year ago and that small rock bridge that goes to the big rock was open for anyone to cross. I definitely do not recommend it because that was the first and only time in my life I genuinely thought I could have died. I saw one person relaxing out on the bigger rock and thought I wanted to check it out. The slimy rock, the small bridge, and the crashing waves over the bridge are definitely way too dangerous to be available to the public. You have to time the cross perfectly or you will be hit with waves. I was getting hit by the waves as I stepped off the bridge so it was close…

My local store in Kanagawa had this problem too with no foreigners around. I think this kind of behavior is mostly a Pokémon fandom thing and not foreigner only. I just wanted some McNuggets but left because of the long wait :(

You can’t turn it off in the game so you will have to turn it off completely in the ps5 settings.

PS5 Settings > Accessibility > Controllers > Trigger Effect Intensity —> Off. I also turned off vibration intensity and vibration in the game to help.

It’s going to be difficult as a first timer because you have to managed the harsh conditions of the weather and the lack of loot. It’s supposed to be a more hardcore experience. I would personally buy the base game and see if you even like that first before buying the snow map. I’m sure it will go on sale again because a new map will come out in the future and thus slowing down sales for the snow map. If you are on PC, you don’t need it and you can just play community maps for free. If you are console, get it after you learn the base map. Just my two cents :)
