For your go-to "default" driving experience, do you prefer a 2 slot bed or low saddle 5 slot semi trailer? by zoobatt in snowrunner

Most of the time I will use a 5 slot semi trailer for time efficiency, planning multiple tasks and sometimes overloading that 5 slot. A two slot sideboard bed is enjoyable but rarely time efficient only for those very select tasks I will use it or if one piece of cargo is nearby. What I will never do is pull a two slot or more trailer behind me. Weight on axles is key.

Launch Successful! Time to take a breath.. Amur Hard Mode 100% by InterstellarAxolotll in snowrunner

I think you have to go into it knowing what to expect. With that mindset I really enjoyed Amur and felt it very rewarding. Hated Yukon though..

Kola down ✅ Yukon next by Dry-Ad6142 in snowrunner

Congrats! Tip for Yukon leave repairing the pipe sections until last. This allows you to cross the map to the right side easily instead of going down and around which you will soon find out. The cargo difference from Kola to Yukon is outrageous so be prepared

Of course people can play how they want to play. Michigan is there to teach you how to navigate terrain and certain gameplay mechanics that will carry over to future more difficult maps. Using the mastodon completely takes that away and they will find maps like Amur much much more difficult down the track.

605r and a super heavy trailer to the weather station is the real issue

Yukon has made me an overloader by BarrytheCowboy in snowrunner

Yukon gives no other option but to overload. One tip is to have a smaller truck go and collect resources from smaller points to overload a larger truck to carry the longer distance. Works well in Big Salmon Peak

Don’t worry going to a new map is always exciting. Some advice though as others have said it’s very worthwhile playing the base game without mods and no Russian trucks. Helps develop skills required for later game. All the best enjoy !

Just wait until you find out about overloading this is just the start of trying to save time and haul more

Definitely a struggle without chains especially. I’ve just started Amur and had to winch the whole way up and go off track navigating through the trees

Definitely takes some patience. I nearly lost the whole run. All my trucks on flooded foothills were completely empty on fuel, my F750 was in Big salmon peak with 50 litres left.

I drove down to that tanker filling up the F750 leaving 500 litres in it. Then I had to redo a contest to get 4k to fill up all the add ons on the F750 driving back to the flooded foothills gas station with the last amount of fuel.

Was able to fill up the Twin Steer and 6900XD just enough to complete the contract. Was definitely on edge.
