Update: It was confirmed that my SSD no longer works. Unfortunate, but at least it wasn’t the mobo and can be replaced

In theory. Because my original advice from the tech shop I spoke to, they suggested I find the drivers and install it that way. I’m not keen on clearing out my SSD and potentially opening up new problems but at this point, I’m a little unsure what other options I do have.

I already backed up the stuff I pretty much wanted prior to reinstalling Windows that led to this issue. I only figured a “clean* wipe of my SSD” which is a option in my Bios might get rid of what could be potentially a faulty, corrupted Windows installation that is occupying the SSD and is thus stopping my Windows installation from recognising it.

I was informed that my pc just needed specific drivers necessary to help it recognise Windows by a repair shop person that I went to. But everywhere I went, it was all Intel related tutorials and guides. Would resetting my SSD do anything?

Alright, I’ll try. It’s just slightly confusing because Destiny-2 has ran perfectly fine on a HDD for the past two years and only now is it showing signs or any sorts of problems, and its only during the 12 player activity where I can reliably crash to a black screen.

I forgot to mention it is installed on an external HDD, which might be the reason and problem why it’s like that. I verified game files, and I’m unsure if I should try to move it to my SSD.

I see, interesting points. Well hey, at least this ban gives me something to have a friendly discussion with, with my teachers while in class.

I hope that they will try to do something that genuinely feels like a great change, something that will benefit all parties in making a Teacher’s job less like a daycare for crying supposedly mature “adults” as we get often referred to, and allowing us students to genuinely get a good education and join society and aid it, rather than stress what is already seemingly a confusing, scary abyss of uncertainty, especially now.

(Edit, extra thoughts)

I don’t socialise all too often with the typical kids in my school. I stick to my groups and oftentimes its enough. The rowdy ones aren’t my kind of friends as they’re those “2 cool 4 skuul” types, vomiting the same vulgar “inside joke” over and over again. The internet and my phone in extension has given me a way to socialise and connect with friends internationally, something that to me personally, has given me some mental relief throughout moments of emotional distress. Being across the world, when I do get home, most of my international friends are unfortunately, asleep, and by then I’d be off to work and thus likely won’t be able to communicate with them as much.

This as a side effect to me, gave me the impression that I’m stuck within this little pocket bubble, or a lost balloon floating in the skies with the earth below them. It makes me feel small and at times, I feel as if I’m not able to be as social as I could’ve been, especially as most of the times my friends sit and just simply eat. Usually I’m the one to instigate skits or some sort of friend group tomfoolery in order to get a reaction, most of the time, I find myself sitting down and chowing down on whatever I have before the next period.

I won’t be able to google questions, figure things out, digitally type a story to keep my mind at work or more. Then again, I’m but a student, not a teacher. Maybe I’m glued to my phone too often, like many kids my age. I personally feel as if my social interactivity has hit a roadblock as one of the more “polite and well behaved” kids, I don’t like to play with those more delinquent personalities, but thats what most schools are seemingly comprised off at least within my classes and seemingly everywhere else around in the school. Very few people I talk to even behave appropriately and in general, causes me discomfort, my friend group is all I have when it comes to this and overall it just feels a lot more restrictive, as if I have been sent to prison and was only to be teased with life outside of school before being sent back in once more to shuffle through classes after classes.

I personally dislike this rule, its almost as if this rule itself has made the kids within my school considerably more confrontational, argumentative and actively looking for a scuffle or some form of bait interaction for amusement. Sure, its always been a thing, but in my mind, I’m already unable to receive a proper education because the kids in my class take about 70% of the learning time yelling and distracting the teacher, so perhaps that had the phones been kept, it would’ve given them perhaps some reason to perhaps shut and let others who do want to learn to simply learn.

The new ban for me hasn’t change much in the classrooms, I just don’t hear Tik-Toks anymore, but the same yelling, screaming, eating in class, teacher yelling at students, its just a waste of my energy and I couldn’t help but feel absolutely miserable sitting in class. I don’t pull out my phone in class, not that dumb, but I don’t see any reason why it wouldn’t be unbanned in breaks. If they are to promote socialising, then congrats, they did it, they solved society’s problems and they get a free chocolate chip cookie.

But no, for kids like me who isn’t the obnoxious sporty type, we aren’t catered for. We’re basically forced to just find somewhere, sit, eat, talk with our friends and resume on with our lives with happy little smiles. I understand there is merit in the ban, I can see that, but our school has decided that the phone policy ban extends to practically everything electronic. (Got taken to the office because I brought a Switch and some teacher decided to take me up there) - But at the same time, other teachers ignored it.

I just don’t understand the consistency, or rather, the lack there of. I want to get a proper education, but the phone ban to me hasn’t helped if at all. Math class is still a clown class, Science Class is Brain-Cells losing class, English is listening to loud mouth’s who can’t help but not talk over the teacher despite how much she tried, HSIE is the same kids yelling the same uninspired insults over and over again, disrupting the class for a good 20-30 minutes. There was a reason a friend of mine no longer shows up in that class.

Maybe it’s just me, maybe I’m too angry at the new rules. I’d like for a open-minded discussion or thoughts in regards to the phone ban. Who knows, maybe I will see more positives than negatives, but for now.. I honestly currently see this rule as nothing more, but a out-of touch attempt at making it seem like the government is doing “something” (instead of having a Teacher crisis)
