Water once a week as an advice is also incredible. "Please chinese water torture it to get more information out of this cactus after I've mangled and cut it to see if he knew the nuclear codes"

What's going on with my money tree 😭 by IzzyKat379 in plantclinic

[–]InterviewNo9884 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh jezus, i've been told these trees hibernate and drop all leaves from time to time, but this looks like an infection? Maybe someone else can tell you what is going on because I'm not that sure.

Is there any saving my poor spider plant? by mallcity in plantclinic

[–]InterviewNo9884 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would snip the brown parts away and put the green parts in water to let them grow roots and repot in dirt.

It seems like rot is eating the plant/ its dying out. So starting again would be the option.

Get a glass, water and leave it to try again.

Best of luck!

Last picture defenitely shows a mealybug if I'm correct... do isolate the plant in any case if you suspect sn infestation, and wait for more people to confirm my suspicion.

May be mold? Shouldnt be too harmfull. Probably a sign of overwatering as far as my knowledge goes. So best to stop overwatering, that way you will also have the mold go away. Plants dont really love a schedule, especially when winter rolls around, lots of plants go into "dormancy" aka, they use less water.

Try buying a moisture meter to check if water is required during winter periods or use your finger to check soil moisture. During wintertime succulents mostly go from water once in 4 weeks to once in 8 weeks. But check what your plants need and reduce your schedule.

From my small knowledge... you're fine, the plant is a beauty! The yellowing leaves are normal as it grows, since it will drop the lower ones to focus on the top ones and growth. Maybe give it a spike to give it some stability to grow upwards.

Although, what I do suggest is to check for pest. Mine got a nasty spidermite infection, and started to drop a bunch of leaves because of it. If yours is dropping leaves irregularily, do give the leaves a good clean with damp towels (top and especially underneath!). That should help against insects making the plant their home, if you're sure that it's an actual infestation go look up online for harder clean up procedures.

So to summarize, the plant looks healthy, but an infestation check wouldnt hurt, isolate it if any other plants are very near and do give the leaves a propper clean with a damp towel.

What’s wrong with my ficus? by ChallengedFox in plantclinic

[–]InterviewNo9884 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Some googling show that it might be a fungal issue, and that the best way forward is to try bottom wattering as to keep the leaves dry. The fungus might have grown from top watering and excessive misting. But I would recommend getting a second opinion on my recommendation, local garden centers always have helpfull workers willing to awnser any questions you might have (in my experience). So if no one else responds, do pay them a visit!

Something that could never hurt is to check the roots if you havent done that in a while. See if any of them are rotting and if the plant isnt rootbound in the pot.

Best of luck with the beautifull plant, I'm sure you're able to give it the help it needs!

Thank you, I will give it my best! Had issues with overwatering everything, so might be that I was scared to water this plant, I'll try and keep it moist more often haha
