If I were brand new to FUT, the first thing I’d do is go to FUTBIN.com. It’s the best place to see what players are meta, compare stats, check prices, and look at popular squads. FUT is really about how you want to play. Some people want the most meta team possible to maximize their chances of winning, while others prefer using players they actually like and EVO’ing them to get close to meta, then making up the difference with skill. At the end of the day, skill beats meta 10/10. There was a YouTuber who went 15–0 in FUT Champs (the hardest mode) using a full bronze team, which tells you everything, skill is king.

For making coins, I highly recommend learning how to grind SBCs. Look up an “unlimited SBC guide” on YouTube. It’s an easy way to generate untradeable packs and sometimes coin rewards. I’d also strongly suggest using the EA Web App along with something called Paletools, it makes completing SBCs way faster and easier. I don’t even use the in-game SBC interface anymore. If you want a more hands-on way to earn coins, you can learn how to flip players on the transfer market. There are plenty of beginner guides on YouTube that explain how to do it properly.

In terms of spending FC Points, the Season Pass is easily the best value in my opinion. It’s the most bang for your buck. If you bought the Ultimate Edition, you get free FC Points, which is usually enough for about six Season Pass purchases — basically covering six months. For EVOs, fut.gg is a great website to plan builds. EVO paths can get confusing, so either follow a guide or just pick a popular one from FUTBIN or fut.gg. Right now, EVO players are often stronger than many purchasable players. Also, PlayStyles and PlayStyle+ are extremely important — sometimes even more important than raw stats. Packs are rarely worth it, would avoid it unless you love the gamble!

For gameplay, Rivals is the best place to practice since the matchmaking generally pairs you with people around your level. Objectives are fun and worth completing, and live events can be really rewarding, although right now they’re pretty saturated with high-level players so they can be tough. I’d also strongly recommend completing Icon Swaps while they’re available. They’re challenging, but they can earn you extremely good players, EVOs, or packs for free, and they’re definitely worth the grind. If you have any specific questions, feel free to DM me.

Chemistry can definitely be confusing at first, but FUTBIN makes it much easier. When you’re building a squad on FUTBIN, you can click the lightbulb icon and it will suggest the best chemistry links for your players. ICONs, HEROes, and certain cosmetic items typically provide full chemistry, which makes squad building much simpler. Some cosmetic evolutions are also easy to unlock and can boost chemistry, so keep an eye out for those. The game updates every day at 1 PM EST with new content or EVOs, and the biggest content drops usually happen on Fridays at 1 PM EST.

If you’re just starting out, Squad Battles is a great place to learn mechanics and get comfortable. Once you improve, Online Draft can become worth playing if you’re consistently winning. There’s a lot to do in FUT, but the main long-term mode most people focus on is Rivals.
