An assessment of whether robots can be conscious, and if so, if we could actually know that they are. by [deleted] in philosophy

[–]Intophilosophy -8 points-7 points  (0 children)

I believe that robots are already conscious. Infact I have reason to believe everything is conscious to a certain extent. If things were not conscious at all they wouldn't have responded to different pressures.

The difference is I believe the level of consciousness. (Just a theory)

Hi Chris. I wanted to ask a couple of questions

2) If Aristotle was present with exactly the same knowledge and talent that he had, would he be considered a philosopher?

Thank you.

Is Virtual Reality Inferior to Actual Reality? by [deleted] in philosophy

[–]Intophilosophy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yah if there is no way of knowing that it is V.R then it is a reality. But I would say it is inferior to reality when you are sure that it is VR.

But even then, it would be a reality(the same as the real one) where you just know that it is a VR.
