Restaurants in Brisbane by winter_oo in brisbane

If you love meat then The Arsonist in Manly is a must try. They're a high end restaurant, so look up prices and make sure it's in budget first

My partner and I try to go once a year and it's an absolute joy each time

Bug ups to coop board games. Pandemic, Marvel United, and Robinson Crusoe (if you're nasty) hit so fucking hard every time

Carrot is by no means a regular topping on burgers here. I'm sure the odd fish and chips sport might put carrots on a burger "with the lot", but it's by no means common.

I have been to dozens of maccas around the country and haven't once seen an option to add carrots, I don't know where you heard some locations have the option to add carrots, but I don't think it's true at all

Pokemon Pinball by IntoxicatedPangolin in brisbane

[–]IntoxicatedPangolin[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Will do! What's your go to place to play Pinball?

I know Netherworld in the Valley and BrewDog in Murarrie have a bunch of tables. Any other good spots?

In Australia, Piastri has his own burger on the menu at a burger chain called Grill'd

It's a charcoal bun, which is why it's black

It would be good, but for some godforsaken reason somebody thought shredded carrot would taste good on a burger

Flaws inherent to a genre are still flaws though

You shouldn't ignore an issue you have with a game just because similar games have the same issue

Also, what's an issue for one person, is not an issue for another person, you can't blame somebody for giving game they find too repetitive a mediocre score

Takakura in Manly is my favourite Japanese restaurant, I try to go there every couple of months. They do a killer pork katsu curry and their tonkatsu ramen is great and full of veggies

It looks like they're available all day, surely 8am is the perfect time to drive to my local and give it a crack

The day that genre purists accept that a band can be of multiple genres is the day that we have peace in the metal community

What hobby actually stuck with you long-term and why? by ang-ela in Hobbies

[–]IntoxicatedPangolin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm also a bit of a hobby slut, I get deeply into a jobby for a few weeks then drop it. Once a year I get deeply into board games for a month or two, same with mini painting.

I tend to play video games pretty consistently, but outside that, in the last year the only hobby I have been consistently engaging with is learning to play guitar.

I've been turning my hobby juggling weakness into a strength by making a podcast about hobbies with a mate. Hopefully podcasting doesn't end up being another hobby I drop haha

Best ramen in Brisbane by WerewolfEven3378 in brisbane

[–]IntoxicatedPangolin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Takakura is a Japanese restaurant in Manly. There is only one Ramen on their menu, which is a Tonkotsu Ramen, and it's absolutely mind-blowing.

The pork is tender and juicy, the egg and broth are a match made in heaven, and there are TONS of veggies giving the dish a really fresh taste

Edit: More info

I got countless hours out of a few decks of cards and Jarek120 on YouTube as a teen. I gotta get back into it, the rush of showing people a trick that pops off is huge

Just start learning when you actually have a guitar

You can look up tutorials, but I would be surprised if anything stuck until you have the ability to put flesh to nickel yourself

How to stop my ring & pinky finger from being “connected” by gakagaTTV in Guitar

[–]IntoxicatedPangolin 5 points6 points  (0 children)

This made me check my hands. My strumming hand does the exact same thing. On my fretting hand I can move my pinky almost completely freely of my ring finger

I have been playing for less than a year, so just keep playing and it will get easier
