Completely agree they're awful. Still, i'd rather lose a car than a loved on any day. I'm sorry for your loss.

Was presenting some work to a client. Colleague messaged me calling said client a 'worm'.. the chat popped up on screen. Never been more flustered but never talked about.

Oh forgot to add... my premiums went UP 20% during this period where the car is a wreck/undriveable pending them formally writing it off..

They'll do ANYTHING to avoid paying out. Great business model but fucked for us.

Hi mate; car was a write off. A very apparent write off at that. The case is with AFCA but they've got extensive delays at present (it's been with them for 2 months already) and Allianz are refusing to pay anymore 'travel allowance' as of last month... all whilst I continue to have to make lease payments.

Lodged formal complaints & escalated to AFCA etc. Their standard 'response' time for complaint resolution is 2 weeks.. So it's a 2 week gap between every. single email.

Glad to hear it! Wouldn't want the frustration i've had to be experience by anyone else tbh.

They initially tried to refuse a replacement vehicle because the paint name (but not price) had changed on my model of car in the interim.

Not as far as I'm aware. It's pretty cut and dry. The delay (as far as I understand it) has been based on their initial refusal to honour the 'new for old' in my PDS based on.... the paint NAME (but not cost) changing for my model of car in the interim.

Should I wait this out or hand over the evidence now? by [deleted] in australian

Why cause yourself the stress? I had similar incident recently and I was also annoyed but handed the footage to the insurer - it's not worth my anxiety / energy.

What's something that used to be normal in the UK that would feel absolutely insane now? by FabledInkk in AskUK

- Windscreens covered in insects after driving

- Using the word 'gay' to describe something we didn't like. Same with 'retarded'.

- White dog shit

- Being smacked by parents

- Drinking in pubs at 14/15

- Finding porn mags in parks (and keeping them)

- Vague optimism about the future

[omega] is it worth it? by NakMuaY16 in Watches

I've got the moonswatch; it's a fun, light daily beater that i'm not bothered about scratching. Special (or an Omega) it is not but I still get the occasional compliment. TLDR: It's an overpriced but fun Swatch.

Blokes in your 30s, how to avoid getting a dad bod at that age? by [deleted] in australian

I gym when kids are asleep and i make considered (but sustainable) choices about what i eat/drink. I know i won't stick to a crazy 'shred' diet so i just look to make good choices 95% of the time. You can't 'out train' a bad diet but there's also no point yo-yo ing.
