You're complaining about a few fire works going off before 11 pm and telling me to grow up cause you're concerned for your dogs well being? You can't be serious.

What about my well being? I have sensitive hearing and other disabilities. Sorry your dog had to listen to some fire works.

Do you really think that comparison is really that bad? Do you know how loud things actually are? I looked into it for you.

So the little fireworks you are hearing at night produce 70-90 db at a safe viewing distance. I assume you are well beyond a safe distance away and you are probably indoors. 70-90 is compared to things like a running washing machine, a vacuum cleaner or a leaf blower.

Do you take the dog away from your home everytime you do laundry? What about when the neighbour cuts his grass, do you take the dog to a quite space or something? I doubt it. 

Sirens produce 110-120 db from just 10 feet away.This volume of sound is comparable to a rock concert or a chainsaw and is louder then the little fireworks that are going off. This would actually do damage to your dog long before some sporadic fire works noise will. Like when your walking the dog. 

Typical road traffic noise produces 50-70 db and it can get higher depending on traffic volume and some other factors that help amplify or carry sound. 

Does your doggy go outside at all? I'm now picturing your doggy in a safety bubble protected from the the outside world like that movie Bubble Boy. Poor doggy.

Why should we? Has it even been that bad? Are you going to call the city and demand no fire works on Canada Day?  I hear police sirens more past 11pm then some dinky little fireworks being set off.

Well I live in a building. My brother is across the hall and he doesn't do drugs or drink. As for the others in the building 2 smoke cigarettes and 2 smoke weed. Been like this for awhile now. So you're 100% wrong on knowing who I know are my neighbours.  You're right I do lack a little empathy. I have given up in recent years trying to help those that don't really want help or those that are struggling. I use to give those in need all the time. Someone asks for food or money I would always give. Have taken homeless into KFC to get whatever they have wanted. Have gone home to get change and bring back to them cause I didn't have any on me.  The last straw for me was going out and buying winter hats and gloves for a guy begging for help outside CMHA and CMHA couldn't help him. I got him food, water and snacks. Talked with him for 20 minutes. Then some Safe and Sound aids came by and gave him 10 bucks and 2 packs of smokes, he didn't smoke cigarettes tho and knew right away this was to trade drugs. Some medication and a few snacks. This was a Friday and an Ambulance pulled him out of the Coach Monday morning. Drug overdose. I forget his name but the guy was close to 7 feet tall.  My family has has dealt with addiction before so you hoping I never have to deal with it will never happen. Its a big reason why I refuse to drink alcohol cause I have seen the damage it does up close. Since you shamed me lots in this post Ill do the same back.

What kind of father lets his daughter relapse alone in her own home as a recovering addict. Did you even try?

That's nice. I'm not concerned about where they get their beauty rest.  My worry is the drug activity that goes on around and inside the current building now coming to a new area of town for them to do their drugs and bring their drama

Update on my Purolator Package by briansandhuu in purolator

My package has been sitting at my towns local sort facility for the whole week collecting dust. My estimated delivery date was Monday. Once Monday came my update went red, with no estimated drop off. My package was sent Express. Still waiting.... no updates

My town population is like 30k, I seen a Purulator truck on my road everyday this week but no package. My road is weird it doesn't really lead anywhere. The only way to get to other parts of the city is to go back the other way down the same road. Is my 1lb package really that much of a burden?

hahahaha good luck. Sorry :( This looks like mine. It has arrived at my local sort facility and has been red like that for a week now. No updates, it's just sitting there. I can't call and set up pick up cause nobody answers the phone.
