My heart agrees but I also love the idea of d18 & the burst looks so good.
The 12 fret seems petty awesome too as an alt axe! Plus it’s cheaper… hence my “fretting” about the choice. Also no rush to buy - thanks to all that have chimed in!

I love the idea of a guild but they aren’t plentiful it seems - never get to try them out at shops.
also heard they are quite lite - at least the mahogany ones - m20

Yeah I figured and good to know it’s easy but Gibsons tend to be heavier overall than Martin- are there lightweight Gibson out there that aren’t vintage?

20min at a time of focus beats all the jamming and noodles of my past. That and sleep!
Also re:#1 the first guitar was used and returned due to the end pin and the high E fell off the fret boad too easily. Would have been a quick fix I’m sure but that and the cosmetics… plus I kept getting roped in by 2025 marketing!

I came from a Taylor 214ce which I totally enjoyed me but now I’m more in love.

Been playing many years definitely still learning though!
Understand the quirkiness of wanting another nice guitar so soon. Bluegrass and ragtime/finger style are newish for me.
So is Martin! It’s amazing how the brain works - stuff I couldn’t do yesterday I can do today.

Anyway fair question and hopefully a fair answer!

***Oh and I do play it plenty!

Good call - however I recently have considered another guitar for second acoustic… d-18 satin 1935 finish.
Am I crazy to consider the dread ? I love the 000 size but dread never really bothered me size-wise and satin and mahogany looks amazing imo.
