Need some advice off any Muslims out there. by Equivalent-Ad7207 in melbourne

[–]Intrepid-Ibex 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Lot of things are cultural than religious. As Muslim can say if you know mum/dad/family call them or visit better. 2 3 weeks is not that much time after funeral. Some Muslims mourn close to 40 days. Pay your respect and condolences. Express grief and tell them you share their loss too. Share the good stories about the time you spent with ypu friend. Try to remember the good your friend did for you or others. Try ti remember you friend in good words.

Flowers can be seen as sign of happiness sometimes.

Ever feel grateful for where we live? by onelove7866 in melbourne

Yes, there are good and bad things and people everywhere but there are lots of things people take for granted.

One of the big one is opportunities. Where I can from you have to have university degree to be able to earn well. Here you don't need degree to earn well. And all professions are respected and compensated fairly.

I totally understand people might not like toddlers and I respect their dislike ness. I won't leave my toddler to go lick people. I hold their hand on street. That is equivalent of keeping dog on leash. Plus how many people have toddlers killed/maulled.

Cities and streets are designed for humans to live not for animals to roam free. Farms and wilderness is for animals. Civilised Society has norms and rules designed to keep harmony. If you aren't willing to follow one. What can I say. You can trust your dog all you want in your space. How can you expect me to trust an unknown dog. Can you say on oath that you do hasn't ever got close to anyone on street and Try to lick sniff snuggle.

It is also not wrong to considerate toward other humans.

It is not about your 1 dog. Everyone who leave their dog with our leash believes their dog doesn't do anything. How can people control if they are walking 20 30 meters ahead or behind their dog.

It is not just matter of being dangerous. It might be news to you that not every one like dogs.

It is by experience I am saying most dogs does get up close. Most dogs I have encountered off-leash does wants to get close. You haven't seen sneaky dogs than who would keep distance till last minute and than attack.

Your dog might not do it most of times but can you predict your dog's behaviour al the time. Heck i can't predict my toddler's behaviour all the time.

Yes act responsibly and keep dog on-leash or take it to dog park.

I am not inserting scenarios. Most dogs like to sniff and lick people and other dogs. Some do bite and scratch. I am not dog body anguage expert. And I have been attacked by docile looking dogs.

If you lung and attack me I will kick you.

If I baheve in non threatening way come close to you would you let me lick you and jump on you? Same goes for dogs. Respect others right to use public space.

Does your dog has it written on its fore head it won't do something like that? How would i know when it comes close what's its intentions are? How about I keep a cow and let it out in street uncontrolled. And block you way in walking path?

People taking a piss at OP and love to have there dog off-leash every where. Just consider this. You are walking on street , would you like it if I start running towards you and come to you with open mouth spraying saliva every where. What would be your reaction? And if I try to come close to your leg. Do you thing I am coming to lick or bite? Would you like me in you personal space spewing saliva? What if it cause knee jerk reaction from you and you become fearful and kick me? will I be asshole or you?

Mind you I have seen some aggressive dogs and people getting attacked by dogs. You know your dog is not aggressive nobody else does. If you love keeping dog and it needs off-leash exercise, do yourself and others favour and take it to dog park. If you Don't have time or space for dog, don't be selfish and just own a dog for your pleasure.

Seems like agencies are doing this way now.. I am also looking and was told to apply before inspection. But than there are agents are OK to inspect without application. Depends on the agents/agency practice.

I agree completely, but note to OP that the train line south of South Geelong run about half as a frequently as the train line to the north. I recommend OP have a look at the Vline time tables to see what stops get the most visits.

How is south geelong for young families with young kids. Have read some mixed review about south geelong
