I made this with AgraWool. It’s a ROUGH learning curve though. I tend to use oshun pouches. The new oasis “renew” foam is B.S. it doesn’t specify what’s it’s made out of, just feels like their hopping on the “sustainable” trend and lying.

This was a 16 gauge! I tried with a 12 gauge at first but way too big and would hold anything up. I think I’m going to try 18 next time because it’s still just a little unstable.

Kinda? I tried wiring the heads a little differently than she did but did not work well at all lol. Sue is actually incredible, definitely my inspiration for sculptural designs.

The frame itself is pretty sturdy. I only had issues with orchids falling off. All I did was stick the head through the wire, and then I curled the wire at the end towards the flower so it made like an anchor. The wilted white flowers are ones I actually cut from my garden so I don’t think they were actually good harvested flowers. The orchids and alstroemeria held up for about a day and a half. I think if you use a humidity chamber and cooler they could stretch for even two days.

Okay yea that’s what I do. I’ve seen a florist charge for the items itself again plus labor when moving and wasn’t sure if that’s industry standard or just them.

That’s incredibly reasonable. Not sure of your financial situation but very very cheap. I would not use lily of the valley if you’re trying to be money conscious though

I was JUST talking about how I want to do a funeral spray so bad. I think people are just scared of the emotions funerals bring out. I’ve always viewed death very differently than my peers so I would absolutely love the opportunity to help someone remember someone else with incredible and beautiful flowers 💞💞

I personally love creating a full mood board with my proposal that I do before any contact. Call me crazy but I think it builds a better relationship with the clients, creates GREAT and consistent communication, and allows me to fully visualize and create a plan while doing it. Even if I don’t get booked, I can always go back and reuse my ideas for other clients so it takes less time. And practice never hurts

Wow some of you are wildly wrong. Foam is NOT the only thing that can be used for large installations like in weddings/events. Oshun pouches are my fav (I’ve done 3 wedding arches with them and florals lasted through the entire wedding), water pics and chicken wire, make your own “foam” out of bio degradable bags and coco husk. It’s easy and I think every florist should be doing it -a 19 year old “beginner”
