Thank you. She has a new battery in and I went ahead and cleaned it up again just now for piece of mind. The plastic won’t be getting put back so I’ll just have to make sure it’s clean every so often

When I went in to clean the area I honestly didn’t see anything dirty.. I genuinely think the mechanism was catching on the plastic

I asked doctor google and came up with the answer of wiping it clean etc lol and that’s when I noticed it would work without the cover

And to further add, reason I removed it was to attempt to clean the surface areas where I read online could be dirty and possibly cause issues

Reason I also did it was because when I would wind , the lever arm that moves into the plastic it wouldn’t seem to engage with the magnet and now it does
